The coffee was cold and they didn't have muffins

Upon checking in I was surprised to be charged an extra $75 REFUNDABLE deposit upon checking out. Its been weeks and I haven't received this back. I have called and texted with no response. Hotel was nothing great will not be back.

The building is poorly maintained. Our bathroom door handle was barely attached and the door didn’t fully close. There were obvious stains on the couch and no bedding for the pullout sofa. The carpet in the hallway was a trip hazard due to the many wrinkles and loose carpeting. I would never stay here again.

Originally checked into double queen suite. Instantly, upon walking in the room we were met with a terrible odor that smelled like pet urine. Went down to the lobby and they were able to relocate us to a different room, 2 adjoining queen rooms, so not the space we expected with the suite but it sufficed for the one night trip with family. Usually book with La Quinta anytime we’re in the QC Area, we will be booking elsewhere going forward.

1. Carpets filthy in the hallways, elevator and stairs. 2. Hallway carpets are significantly wrinkled and stretched (tripping hazzard) 3. Carpet in room along window/air conditioner sopping wet 4. Pill bug crawling up wall 5. Stains on bed comforter 6. Mold on air conditioner 7. Water behind toilet 8. Toilet seat loose 9. Fecal matter in toilet upon arrival 10. Dirty bathroom light switch and brown stain on wall below light switch (poop?) 11. Bathroom ceiling tile framework: paint flaking off, black mold dots, and rust 12. Hole in my 60 grit sandpaper-bath towel 13. Only 1 bar of soap and 1 shampoo available for use 14. Bathroom door handle very loose 15. Cracked and missing parts of wall/floor moulding strip in room and bathroom 16. Stairway exit door isn't up to code (crash bar 1/2 installed, but round twist handle loosely installed) 17. Main tall sign on the road is not lit at night 18. Area behind front counter has cracked storage bins in plain sight, scratched molding strips, counter looked junky 19. Guest wifi "no internet available" [I needed internet urgently for my job] 20. Brkfst eggs sitting in water 21. Sausage 1st day very gristly & undercooked, 2nd day no sausage) 22. Coffee out both mornings by 8:50am 23. Oranges were shrivelled, tiny and gross looking 24. At 11pm the hallway had bad smell of pot smokers in a room where LOTS of noise was coming from. The front desk lady did confront that problem. This was one of the worst hotel visits ever.

STAFF WAS GREAT
-
Room was clean though.well my second room after I first walked into a room that not been cleaned from the previous visitors.
-
All the blankets were dirty, the bed frame was stained, and there was a huge hole in the mattress left by previous occupants. There were traces of blood on the toilet paper. The staff were pleasant, and the breakfast was tasty.

There was black mold throughout our room. The walls were not attached to the studs. It was overall unclean. Definitely a health and safety issue.

The property needs a renovation and exterior maintenance. The sofa was stained and was totally gross. The room next to ours flooded and wet the carpet in our suite. They offered to move us or give us a fan to dry up the carpet. The staff was very nice but the place is long overdue for a refresh
-
Walking into a room that smells foul, only to realize you are sharing it with bed bugs, roaches, and mold, is enough to make anyone’s stomach turn.
