Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Dayton Downtown

It was very clean and I enjoyed the location. The parking process and check in process. It was insane! I arrived around 3:30pm and there was traffic down the road trying to get into the parking area to check in. I waited nearly 45 minutes in line with only one lady working the desk. On a Friday night, with a sold out weekend, at check-in time, why on Earth was there only one employee working the desk!?! And why does the check in process need to be so hard just to get a parking pass/ app to park your car. Insanity!!!

A good base for your Dayton based vacation. The staff are friendly, the hotel is nice and clean. The breakfast items were not replaced as they ran low. It is a basic but good selection but should be kept topped up.

The location was perfect. My sister and I were in Dayton to visit our brother and his family for his 9th Pastoral Anniversary. The church was only 12 minutes away. The customer service representative that checked us in (Dorothy) was curt and rather rude. I confirmed late arrival expecting a King Suite with sofa bed (which was confirmed by Marriott)- we were told there were none. Had to take a room with King bed only. Rep showed no concern for inconvenience and need for space.

Location, Cleanliness, staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good until un invited people showed up to eat breakfast Parking was difficult to read and the numbers on the ground at night ,while you are driving . No other hotel charged for city fee. And why are dogs in the penthouse wouldn’t it be easier if they were on the 2nd floor ,,. and guests were put in penthouse suites?

Parking situation was terrible, as my rental was towed and cost me $200 to get it released.

Clean and modern property right across the street from the Dragon’s baseball stadium. Breakfast was great. Staff was very kind and friendly. Room was very nice with everything one could need. I needed to iron a shirt and the iron leaking water out of it and kinda made a mess. There was some small scuffs on the wall in the bathroom wallpaper. But otherwise everything was perfect!

Very quiet even for its downtown location. I appreciated the free parking. Room was beautiful. Only complaint was the hideaway sofa bed was very sad. I don’t expect much from a hideaway, but this mattress was a 1 on any scale which is the reason for a 4 star rather than 5. Pillows were standard, but not great. I’d recommend bringing your own pillows if you can. King bed was very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast had enough choices.

The room was super clean as was the bathroom. Used the gym which was also clean. The front desk attendant that checked us in was extremely friendly and great at explaining the parking situation. Really appreciated having parking included on site.

The place was great for a weekend stay. I didn’t get a chance to explore or use much of the amenities because I worked all weekend and just came back to sleep but everything was comfortable and was clean. Would stay again.
