Hyatt Place Daytona Beach - Oceanfront

Great views from oceanfront balcony, but no balcony chairs. Staff was hit or miss, but most were not friendly. Parking lot is horrible. Tight spots, arrow pointing to drive one direction while the Parking space is angled designed to drive the other way. Extra parking in back through a tight tunnel that flooded when it rained. Breakfast was not like other Hyatts. They ran out of plates and started setting out paper plates and bowls andv out was still 2 hours before it ended. Ran out of everything fast and when asked staff for more coffee, they acted irritated. Rooms are not quiet, could hear neighbors, the bathroom door was a sliding glass that made horrible noises and wouldn't stay shut , kept sliding open.

Our stay was very nice as always we’ve been there several times in the past. The room was very clean with a comfortable and sofa bed. Just know that there’s no balcony furniture if you like to sit out and enjoy the beautiful beach view. The breakfast is delicious and the pool deck is fantastic!!

For what we paid for that room I definitely would’ve expected it to be in better shape. The elevator floors specifically need to be redone. They are disgusting. Would all chipped up. That is not what I expect a Hyatt to look like. In my bathroom the drywall at the bottom had holes in it. It just wasn’t up to the standards I would expect. In addition, the people in the room next to us got locked out of their room and we’re yelling and screaming at the staff all night. Every time we needed someone at night there was no one at the front desk.

We arrived at 430pm and room was not ready. Left and came back room still not ready. We finally got checked in at 700pm on a Saturday. Room was fairly clean. Mini fridge good. No microwave just fyi rooms don't come with one. 2 elevators very slow. Air conditioner in room was loud at times like a helicopter. Room we got was right by the elevator and ice machine loud all the time. Water pressure in shower was weak sometimes and would turn cold then back hot. Bed was ok kinda firm. Breakfast was ok eggs everyday they alternate with bacon, sausage,ham, french toast sticks and french toast was alternated. Yogurt, fruit, oatmeal and toppings. Bagels, cereal Cheerios raisin bran and froot loops. Juice coffee milk water. Cinnamon rolls biscuits and gravy on Saturday.

What a waste of place this hotel is the most horrible hotel I ever stay employees with bad attitude not even a good morning the room very dirty just can’t say how bad this place it is … room service is so bad you ask for something they told you don’t have any go to front desk they were always with there attitude….. this place has very bad service and very bad reviews I learn my lesson pay for horrible service…..pool very dirty and people from outside just keep coming in no security at all if you have kids not a very safe hotel to be at ……,

All around good place to stay and beach front view is always a plus.

First off after getting there at 4 for check in we were informed that rooms werent ready. After about 20 mins I went and checked again to find out the room that was booked for us had been given to another family. The whole time they told us there wasnt enough housekeeping to clean rooms then got told there were no towels to finish cleaning rooms. We finally got into a room at 5. First thing we wanted to do was take showers after being at the beach all day. Went to give my son a shower and there was NO water pressure to even turn the shower on. Had to wash my first son with a cup and little bits of water the maintenence guy then came and said he would check the shut off but that its not uncommon to not have water pressure with the hotel being busy. He must have turned a valve on cause all of a sudden 5 mins later the shower pressure was back on. The rooms were very outdated with a dirty couch that I wouldnt even let my children sit on. Only a few plugs worked in the room and the remote to the TV only worked up close. Luckily we had beach chairs for the balcony cause there wasn't anything out there to even enjoy the view. The beach was nice but that had nothing to do with the hotel. We planned on letting the kids play in the pool but there was trash floating all over the pool after we came back from dinner. Thought we'd let them swim after breakfast (which was the only positive thing they had) but the same trash and more was floating. Staff was rude when told.

Bathrooms need renovation and showers need replacements.. beach access and location if ok

The only staff member that was helpful and cared about their work was a lady in housekeeping named Dion! She was so thorough and friendly. The front desk told me they were sending someone to fix my refrigerator, never happened. They also told me they’d message me for check-in. Never happened. It was an hour passed the time to check in and the only reason I got to check in then was because I went back to the desk after calling with no answer several times. When I asked for an hour later check out time to make up for my lost hour, the woman told me wasn’t her problem that her coworker didn’t tell her she was supposed to message anyone about check in times. The new pool is nice. The room was clean. There’s no chairs to sit on your ocean front balcony, that you pay extra for! Under new management or staff, it has the potential to be a really nice place. They need lessons from housekeeping obviously. Dion knew what she was doing! Friendliest staff member I seen while I was there, and I was there 5 nights and 6 days. Oh, and the breakfast was good. Kinda the same stuff every morning, but it was good so that’s ok with me.

Hotel was ok for short stay, only issue I had was the bathroom makes a loud noise when closing it, if you don’t lock it, it wouldn’t stay closed and it took the water in the shower a while to get hot.

Aaron at the front desk was super helpful and appreciated. The breakfast was great and convenient. The location was amazing and in great proximity to necessities. I would recommend this hotel .

No access to beach before 8am, if you want to walk for a sunrise, you have to go outside the property and go thru the public parking area to have access to the beach. 😡 Food it’s bad and the dinning area it’s dirty during breakfast, no body clean up tables, counter tops and trash. Lobby dirty. No shower to remove the sand from your body when you come back from the beach. The pool has good size but has a lot of sand in the bottom. No green areas. Just 2 dying plants i one corner, no even fake plants as decoration everything it’s concrete and bricks. Sad and really hot. Room has a humidity smell. And the shower curtain was moldy. So disappointing! No value for the the price. To be a Hyat I was expecting more.
