Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Deerfield Beach Boca Raton

First of all, we were surprised to discover that breakfast at this hotel ends at 9:00 AM. Even many budget hotels serve breakfast until 10:00 or 11:00 AM. Does the hotel assume that all its guests are schoolchildren or office workers who need to wake up early? We had been on a long road trip across Florida and booked this hotel for one night as our final stop before returning home. All we really needed was a comfortable bed and breakfast before getting back on the road. When we arrived at the breakfast area at 9:05 AM, everything had already been completely cleared away. My husband simply asked why nobody at the front desk had mentioned the breakfast hours during check-in. Of course, we understand that guests are responsible for checking this information themselves, but a simple reminder about breakfast hours would have been a thoughtful and helpful gesture. Instead of politely explaining the situation, one of the female staff members responded to my husband in a rather rude and dismissive manner, implying that he should have known better. As a result, we had to drive somewhere else for breakfast and rush through our morning, especially considering that check-in is not until 4:00 PM while check-out is already at 11:00 AM. Check-in was great—the receptionist was very courteous and even offered me a choice of floor. Most of the staff were polite, and both the room and bathroom were clean and looked fine. The only service exception was the lady at the breakfast buffet, whose demeanor was... let's just say "peculiar." A couple of maintenance issues held the experience back: Pool area: Neglected and visibly dirty, with a layer of leaves at the bottom that had clearly been there for days. Air conditioning: It had quite erratic behavior. At times, after turning down the temperature, the system simply wouldn't kick in. Upon checking the air filters, they were caked in dirt—it looked like they hadn't been cleaned since installation. Cleaning filters is an easy task that makes a massive difference in room comfort and air quality.

Everything was good for a last minute booking, staff was nice & helpful. Breakfast could’ve been better but still good/appreciated. Room was clean but bedding had a stain on pillow case. Overall starves good and would stay again/recommend!

Very good

Room was very clean, staffs was very courteous, breakfast seems as it was prepared off site then transported to site. Park was great as they have a large car part with plenty of wide parking bays. Pool was a lot small that it looks on site.
