Patterson Inn

A better lesson on operating that pocket door would have been helpful as we checked in. *Very heavy*. Those without decent upper body strength may not be able to operate. Room seemed oddly tired (drapery coming off ring; nearly broken through chair seat). A lot of floor space yet no comfortable place to sit (chair would not have been comfortable even if we didn't think seat about to go). So odd to have giant dresser blocking the doorway when it could have just been moved away from door. Ditch the little table holding ice bucket, put that tray on the dresser. Move chair and dresser away from the door! Cut myself on pocket door lock grabber trying to squeeze through :( Also weird that tv not opposite bed. And no mirror in bedroom; no notepad nor pen in desk. Iron was missing. Bed was comfortable, shower was great. But room just seemed to have so many "off" things for that price point.

Captain Chris, the innkeeper, was quite entertaining! The 12 Spirits lounge was lots of fun!! And Kayleigh, our breakfast chef was amazing!! We will definitely return. We have stayed at quite a few hotels that were not impressive. This property was truly delightful.

Patterson Inn was the best choice I could have made for my recent trip to Denver. The staff were attentive, kind, and made my stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Chris and his staff are so warm and welcoming, felt as if I was staying with friends. The room was comfortable, clean, and beautifully maintained. Delicious homemade breakfast each morning, with a choice of sweet or savory options really was a highlight. The property is gorgeous, a history buff's dream stay. As a solo traveler, would I highly recommend a stay at the Patterson, neighborhood is quiet, safe, and easy to get to all major attractions and highways. Thank you to the Patterson Inn for making my trip so comfortable. If I'm ever back in Denver, I'll be popping by to say hello and drink at the tavern. :) -Kris from NJ

Stayed here for three nights solo when visiting for a show at Red Rocks. Received several emails prior with all necessary information to prepare for stay. Do take note that there is an elevator to the rooms on 2nd floor, if you choose a room on the 3rd floor there are winding stairs from floor 2 to 3 . Such an incredibly beautiful building. Spacious, clean, well appointed rooms, super comfy bed and linens and incredible breakfast . The room and bathroom were a very generous size. The staff was wonderful, friendly and helpful from helping me up the stairs with my luggage to serving the delicious breakfast . Chris the owner was charismatic, funny and a pleasure to chat with. He made me feel like I was a guest at a friend’s mansion. Thoroughly loved sitting outside on the patio sipping coffee and reading. My only regret was that I slept in the first two mornings and didn’t make it for breakfast, luckily enjoyed on my last day and was delish. I would definitely suggest getting out of bed for breakfast, so worth it . Highly recommend a stay here

Exceptional

What a gem and great value in Cap Hill. Close enough to downtown without the craziness. Library room is our favorite. Very private. Great breakfast included and free parking.

The history, architecture, and the interior design. Bathroom door needed a lock.

It was a wonderful historic house turned into a hotel. Cheryl was just wonderful!

Everything was great! The only issue we ran into was that the WiFi didn't work reliably. This would have been a concern if we needed to get work done, but we didn't. The room was very cool, the staff were kind, and the tavern had very good cocktails.

Steeped in history and in a quiet neighbourhood, this hotel is very different from other places you’ll stay. I’d love to stay here again and explore Denver

Great place! Great breakfast!

The chef Cheryl was excellent and went out of her way to accommodate our early morning travel needs. She was very thoughtful, cheerful and professional. The breakfast was delicious.

The breakfast was wonderful - home cooked meal. Coffee was a little off. They have 3 parking spots. We never had an issue, but it would have been weird to have to use their very few oveflow spaces a few blocks away.

Great stay in Denver. The staff”s attention to detail was exceptional. The king bed was very comfortable and breakfast was cooked to perfection. The onsite bar was a nice place to hang with the neighborhood crowd. Overall an excellent B&B

The breakfast which was included was made fresh each day and delicious. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

If you like history and uniqueness, this is the place to stay. The staff was very accommodating in the breakfast was amazing. Would 100% stay again. Had a great time.
