Very nice beds, sleeping area was clean and comfortable. The bathrooms and showers had a very weird smell. Decently clean but they need better ventilation

Looked like a cool place I booked the place, showed up, and then was refused entry. “Your ID has an address that’s too close”. Ridiculous. Absurd. Then, they didn’t cancel the reservation when I requested it. “Talk to booking.com” like, I’m sorry, but I paid for lodging, YOU can talk to booking. I tried to contact booking.com—they say contact the vendor. The person working the desk says contact management. Management doesn’t reply. Tried to contact booking.com, and the friggin AI hangs up on me. FINALLY talk to an agent, and they say “we need to send an email to management.” Then I never hear back. Like. Are you kidding me? I am the customer. I paid for a product. You didn’t deliver the product. You wanna know whose responsibility it is to deal with it? YOURS. The person getting the money. The games these people play man. Hilarious. I got insurance from booking.com, and they don’t want to honor it either. Have fun with my chargeback you chuckle*****

Mostly a good stay. The Ember is a unique property and has some great amenities. The air conditioning wasn't working well when I stayed and the sleeping area was pretty uncomfortable.

I was very impressed when I entered the hostel, even though I had to wait until after 3pm to check in. Going downstairs to the hostel portion, I quickly became unimpressed. The kitchen was too small for more than 1 person to cook and eat in, and that was the only place to eat. No soap or shampoo in showers, you have to buy it. The 16 bed dorm room had only 1 small, loud A/C unit and did nothing to cool the extremely hot room. No ice machine. I had difficulty sleeping as I lay sweating in my bed, I young man who checked me inn was extremely helpful, which was the only positive. I would not stay here again.

The place is so cute and Quaint. The Hot tub was incredible. Will absolutely stay here every time I have a Denver Layover. The kitchen could use a bit more cleaning.

The rooms were clean; I stayed in a women-only room. We had daily sheet changes and fresh towels every day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room's air conditioning didn't cool very well, and the fridge was a bit dirty. There is a Trader Joe's just a 5-minute walk away, and the location is very central, so you can walk to various places.

Be careful. Do not stay here. This place will rip you off. Do not make any reservations.

Beautiful old historic house, good atmosphere. Air conditioner was not working very well.

Air conditioner was not working very well.

The location is very convenient because it's close to a lot of restaurants and shops downtown! When I checked in the there was an Asian receptionist that was very rude and condescending for no reason. Besides that it was a good stay!

My stay at the hostel was a bit of a bag of mixed experiences. I’ll start with the bad and work my way towards the good. Firstly, my experience with staff was extremely negative. I stayed for four days and at one point had a friend stopped by which we were planning on going downtown to gay pride festival together. He was not staying or hanging out at the hostel whatsoever. He came inside, I asked him if he would like a drink before we leave, so we walked down to the kitchen to get a drink and immediately walk back upstairs to leave. While walking back upstairs, one of the staff members working that day stopped us and asked if he was a guest. I informed him that he was not, he was simply my friend who was picking me up to go downtown and we walked downstairs to get something to drink. Mind you these were drinks I paid for, nor was he in the building for longer than 60 to 90 seconds. The staff member proceeded to scold me stating that individuals who are not guests were not allowed to hang out at the house. I had informed him that we simply went down there to get something to drink before leaving. He informed me that it was OK for them to be in the foyer area but not go any further. He then gave me the auction to either be kicked out for to be charged a $60 fee. As I could not afford to go stay at a $200 hotel, I was forced to be charged a $60 fee simply for my friend coming in to get a drink. Now prior to this I had never had a guest over in any capacity. Also A/C doesnt work

They took my money but did not allow me to check-in. And they did not give me a refund.
