I spend a good amount of time perched upon the roof top looking over my old stomping grounds and realized it might be the best rooftop view of Denver. The room was surprisingly small but my view of the clock tower on the city and county building couldn’t be framed any better, it’s almost as if they were rewarding me for my enthusiasm. The “hammock” on the window sill was worth every penny. I will say the service at the restaurant on the first floor was excruciatingly slow. Over 20 minutes to get drinks, and over 40 minutes to get food. Luckily I was with great people and wasn’t in a hurry. The coffee shop adjacent to the front desk was awesome, and the staff was very friendly. I remember living down the street a few years ago when I was pursuing my degree in architecture closely following the construction and deb The experience was well worth the splurge and I can check this one off the bucket list.

What an amazing place. We were so impressed with all the amenities, the service was perfect, the room while slightly smaller was perfect for a long weekend stay. Stellar Jay restaurant is a must!! The little owl coffee shop makes great...everything. It is a perfect location to 16th street shopping and entertainment. Larimer square is great, And the thrift store bar is a MUST.

Very unique, beds were comfortable and it was very quiet. Peaceful place.

Super cool spot, definitely recommend.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The food at both restaurants was exceptional — truly some of the best in the area. The only drawback was the room size; it felt a bit tight, with limited space to store luggage anywhere other than the floor.

One of the most unique hotels we’ve ever stayed in! Roof top bar was fantastic. Breakfast at the hotel restaurant was amazing- both food and service. Honestly We haven’t been this happy with a hotel in a long time! Must stay.

The Populus is well worth it and I highly recommend the Governor's Suite and restaurant in the lobby and rooftop bar/restaurant. The room was great, the service was excellent, and everything was top notch! I'm looking forward to having another special event to book for.

One of our favorite hotel experiences in recent memory. The eclectic modern style was right up our alley. The staff was great. Our Aspen suite was spacious with great views. The bathroom was one of kind. The rooftop bar the perfect evening hang. Location is close to all things downtown Denver. Five Stars.

This is an amazing gem in the middle of it all in downtown Denver. You can enjoy the rooftop lounge, have a dinner or scarf the fried potatoes at breakfast. The morning breakfast pastry selection is awesome and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay and we loved the sustainability theme that was present through the stay. We will be back!

However, my partner doesn't look like someone that would have the kind of money he does. Despite knowing we booked a suit, despite knowing we extended, we could not get the front guest girl and guy to look up from their computer. When we checked out, no thanks for staying, no good morning, not even an I got it. My partner said " hey good morning checking out of room 502 please." And the lady with the colored hair response was "k". The night before with the valet guy. Older gentleman asked us 3 times if we were staying as guest. Then sounded shocked when we asked him to valet and that we would pay the extra $60 a day for valet parking. I get that my partner doesn't look like he "belongs" but if I guest is paying any amount of money to stay at a hotel, the least the employees at a customer service place can do is say good morning, good evening, welcome in, legit anything. We walked in and out so many times not a single word. Super disappointed that this is how our experience went l.
