Clean The pot holes

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The front-desk staff would check-in with me almost daily via text and I really appreciated that feature. This way I was able to conveniently text anything I needed and it was taken care of. They were so accommodating. Very comfortable stay in Des Moines!

Staff was friendly, room was clean and quiet. Check-in was efficient. Breakfast was ok

Nothing Dirty room poor location next to interstate homeless encampment on the bridge next to hotel. Staff was overworked complaining about co workers. No conditioner in the bathroom. Couldn't adjust the fan to stay on on the room. All in all a no go. We planned on having our wedding guests stay there glad we stayed there first to test it

We liked the convenience of the location to the highway & to places for eating. The room was clean & fresh. Cooling system worked well. Had a great night of sleep. Breakfast was prepared and ready at the time indicated and the food was hot and tasty. The breakfast attendant was very attentive to the guests and to keeping food supplied and maintaining cleanliness of the area. Thank you!

This place was very underwhelming. When you arrive, the external looks very run down. Tall grass and unkept landscaping, weeds were everywhere! The guy who checked us in was very nice, friendly and accommodating his name was DJ. No one else spoke when you walked into the lobby area. The rooms were clean but outdated and smelled like wet rags. We switched rooms because of how bad the first room smelled and still had to get two air fresheners to place in our room. Smell is so important, you all should atleast look into something to fix the smell that smacks you in the face when you enter the rooms. The ceilings in the hall ways had water stains throughout not sure if that is the reason for the smell but it was pretty bad. We were there for three days and on the third day housekeeping came by around 5pm to clean the room, at that point it was too late but I did appreciate the apology and offer to provide us with the service. We would have switched hotels altogether but I didn’t have the emotional capacity to deal with it since we were in town for a funeral! Free breakfast was tasty and the beds were comfortable.

We have stayed here a couple of times with no issue but that was not the case this past weekend. The shower drain barely drained so you stand in water while you shower. Also our room (313) had an ant infestation. We had a 2 night stay and informed the front desk guy about it. Told him we didn't want to switch rooms but asked that it be cleaned while we were gone for the day. He informed us that his manager came in at 1:00 and he would have someone look into it. Guess what, we came back that night after out softball games and nothing had been done. It was late enough that we just decided to live with it the way it was. Woke up the next morning to ants all over the place. Not happy with this stay and will probably look elsewhere when we have our next softball tournament in the area.

Staff was far less than welcoming. Alex, the night gentleman was absolutely rude and unhelpful. Room was not very clean and the beds looked like someone had already slept on them. Sheets looked dirty with stains. Tub wouldn’t drain was so slippery I almost fell (probably from the soap build up from not draining.) . The exhaust fan vent cover was filthy. There was no shower gel or soap (empty.) Was told the hot tub wasn’t working and never is because they can’t get the parts, but found the hot tub to be open the last night and all kinds of debris at the bottom. Property needs some TLC and the staff needs some SERIOUS hospitality training.

Great staff and management

The room was damp and smelled musty. The bed was not comfortable. Remote control was broken with pieces rattling around in it. It looked nice -

al, fresh crisp apples ,russet potatoes and sausage. The decor, Lobby Etc looked updated new carpet new colors upbeat vibe

Great location and spacious breakfast area. Comfortable bed for sleeping. Two things: the King room was lovely in size but only had one desk chair. We thought it was weird to have so much space, a king size bed (clearly for two people) and one (small, not that comfortable) chair. The toilet was so low to the ground. Most bathrooms we've been in lately (not only accessible) have at least a mid-height toilet.

Great location and stayed multiple times in the past, and nice staff. This stay was disappointing, room 433 has issues... bottle dispenser laying on the bathroom counter removed from the wall, mold showing on the caulking, and a broken hinge on the front decor of the mini fridge. Also, A/C starts with the 'sound' of the fan rolling water, so the drain is probably clogged. All issues except, A/C were reported on the day of check in.

The room was very clean and updated.
