The Cochrane House Luxury Historic Inn

We stayed for 1 night after a tigers game and it was absolutely amazing! It is within a very short walking distance from ford field, little caesar’s area, and comerica park. Definitely very convenient if you’re there for a game! They have a parking lot for guests to use prior to check in as long as you ask ahead of time. This was very helpful since we had a game to attend before our check in time. The staff were absolutely fantastic. We got to our room and our TV stopped working. The ladies wasted no time in bringing up the extra tv and tv stand to our room in a timely manner. They were very polite and apologetic for the situation. Breakfast in the morning was great! They had a lot of options for on the go if you’re in a hurry to check out. The decor in the house is very aesthetic and very unique to look at! The bathroom was a dream come true. The bath tub and shower duo was amazing and so relaxing! The property is very clean and well maintained. We definitely will be staying here again in the future.

The staff were very helpful, welcoming and friendly. We talked about their history and what my husband and I were celebrating, our 15th anniversary and how we met. Talking with the sister/owners was like talking with family. Glad to have owners who know the history of the city of Detroit and it's neighborhoods. We had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying our beautiful accommodations. The breakfast was delicious.

Beautiful historic bed and breakfast. Friendly welcoming, met one of the sisters who own and run the bed and breakfast. Breakfast was awesome, Belgian waffles, eggs, potatoes and eggs. So many amenities. Highly recommend. Walking distance to Little Caesars arena, Ford field, Fox theater, Tiger's stadium. Many restaurants in walking distance, public transportation. Ample parking, will definitely be back, 5 stars.

Breakfast was made fresh and the location is within walking distance of nearly every stadium or arena in the area. Hosts were super nice and live on site and are ready to make your stay great. Will definitely look at staying here again. Be sure to ask about the history of the area and the original art!

The sisters that own this home are terrific hosts. And not only do they care about their guests, they are also committed to helping others, and supporting those that live in Detroit.

This place was beautiful! The kindness you're greeted with and the overall experience here was amazing. I went to the Brandy and Monica concert in Detroit and this was within walking distance very close. The conversation with the owners was amazing. These ladies have such a sweet soul and you will feel like part of the family when you stay there. I'm def going back

SPECTACULAR! Start to finish, such a lovely stay. Location cannot be beat. I'm happy to know that I can attend some Tiger games in the evening this coming season and have such a wonderful place to stay. INCREDIBLE hospitality, REMARKABLE renovation of a beautiful historic house, THOUGHTFUL amenities, and EASY PARKING. Always check here first if you're going to the Fox, Ford Field, the Opera, or the Ballpark. The owner-operators are delightful, and as others note, the breakfast is out of this world (and delivered right to your door). VERY SPECIAL.

I wouldn't stay anywhere else if you are visiting Detroit, this bed and breakfast is five stars

Great location and greater hosts. Two sisters that run a bed and breakfast as it should be. You can sense the pride of ownership as you enter. Off the main streets making it quieter in the evening but still short walking distances to downtown attractions, including all three sporting venues. The smallest of details not overlooked right down to the homemade preserves for breakfast!

The rooms? Super cozy and spotless. They loved chatting with other couples in the private yard. It gave off such a peaceful, homey vibe. And the breakfast? Ohhh, the breakfast. My parents went on and on about how fresh and delicious it was. Final review straight from them: “I pray the owners get everything they deserve because they’ve created something truly special.” So with that, me and my husband are booking our stay next!

The staff were rarely seen, but everything was done immediately. This is the kind of place where the hospitality was so great, it made you feel guilty. The only downside was not enough bathroom space to lay out your hygiene products.

A very comfortable and relaxing hotel. We had a calm and restful time here. It will be our great pleasure to stay at The Cochrane House again soon.

An incredible place to stay! The hosts are so welcoming and they made the best breakfasts. The home is very cozy, luxurious and it's nearby everything. Would definitely recommend!
