Residence Inn Miami Airport West/Doral

The property was well maintained and very clean. However, I did have a few concerns with the staff. I asked about turning on the fire pit that had been lit the previous evening, and a staff member told me it didn’t work. I then asked if it had mysteriously stopped working that day since it had clearly been operating the night before. The staff member replied that it hadn’t worked for quite some time and then walked away without offering any further explanation. I also requested an extra set of sheets and was told that none were available. Later, I discovered there were extra sheets in the closet. A simple response letting me know they were already available in the room would have been much more helpful.Other than those interactions, I have no complaints about my stay. The property itself was very nice and well kept. I do believe the staff would benefit from being more knowledgeable about the property’s amenities and accommodations, as some staff members seemed well informed while others did not.

Good for a family stay at a Residence Inn

The only two issues I would point out are that the ice machine on the 6th floor was completely out of service during our stay, and the sofa bed definitely needs to be upgraded. The mattress was in very poor condition. As a family of five, one of us had to sleep on the sofa bed each night, and it was extremely uncomfortable—you could literally feel the metal frame through the mattress. We ended up taking turns sleeping on it so the discomfort wasn’t always on the same person, but it still made for a very poor night’s sleep. Replacing the sofa bed mattress would make a big difference for families staying at the hotel.

The room was very clean. I did my normal wipe down and the wipe was still clean. The suite off was perfect for a family. We had two beds and a sofa, full size fridge, microwave and dishwasher. I was pleasantly surprised. The only thing I would have changed was the staff who greeted me. I’m used to staff letting you know the hours of the amenities or some type of small talk. My mom also stayed her and said she did get that info upon arrival. Maybe I just got the wrong person. I’d add this hotel to my favorites and would stay here again.

Online stated that there was a shuttle provided. I called before out plane left our original location and I was told to call for the shuttle upon arrival and I did that and was told the shuttle stopped running at 6 and it was 6:45. The front desk did not care about the miscommunication. They were very dismissive and we couldn’t even get late check out.

I really think the carpet needed changing, especially in our room. Didn't want to walk in the room barefooted. I like the kitchenette. The beds were comfortable, sheets were clean. Lots of places to eat within walking distance and Dolphin Mall is also close by via car, around 5-10mins.

When we checked in and had settled in, we finally pulled out to use the couch bed. However, it was completely broken. They immediately moved us to a new room.

Excellent location close to restaurants and parks.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. However you can see some signs of aging on the property. We were only there for the night to go on the cruise. I have enjoyed my short stay. Nice and quiet.
