If you just need a place to stay before or after you go to Kings Dominion, this is your place. Don’t expect too much from it.

Or experience. Electricity was out. Front desk did not give me a straight answer. Made an attempt to move to another hotel through the third-party at the front desk became aggravated and aggressive

We visited King’s Dominion and loved how close the park was to the hotel. My grandkids enjoyed the pool on the property The cleaning staff blocked the walkway with their trash bin . They should have been more considerate to the guess.

It was clean and very comfortable I couldn’t stay longer
-
The rooms adequately cleaned scraped walls requiring maintenance. Internet was not available, streaming not available much of our stay. Even though it’s across the street from Kings dominion there are no sidewalks or crosswalks to safely walk to the park. The free complementary breakfast ran out of food. Would not stay here again would rather stay 10-15 minutes away in Ashland where there are better restaurants options and newer hotel options.

Adequate for a night

This place is in a great location and with just a few little things it could be an amazing place. I would give it another try.

Clean, newer, reasonably priced and shout out for the blackout shades

It was not the worst place I’ve stayed. I will say that we had issues, but they were taken care of quickly. However, I believe proper cleaning and regular maintenance would have prevented the issues. We were put in a room that had ants in it. The bath tub also had red dots all over it, not cleaned well. We asked to move. The odd thing was, before we got out and onto our new room, they had put someone in the ant room. This shows they were not going to fix it and were fine with letting the next person in, within letting them know. Also, they could have taken care of the issue and put him elsewhere as they were nowhere near full. Then the room we went to, was ant free, but the toilet would not flush, so that was repaired the next day. The tissue box had exactly 2 tissues in it. Not a big deal, but shows details are not important to this location at all. Breakfast was okay. The front desk girl was nice. Although she did seem annoyed when we asked to move and then reported the toilet issue in the new room. Noticed lots of flies in the office and breakfast area too. We had planned to stay again the following week on return, but have decided not to stay there again.

I enjoyed my stay with my 5-year-old son. It was right across the street from the Kings Dominion entrance which was convenient. The only thing I did not like, and I'm not sure what the situation was, but we were there for one night and twice there were random people laying down sleeping on the couches in the lobby? I don't know if they were workers or random people from outside? But it did not seem like they were guests and it did make me a little uncomfortable given I had a young child with me. They caused no harm, and were simply sleeping, but it just caught my attention.

Clean and well kept room. Easy last minute booking.

The staff was friendly, but I never got house keeping.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was nicely kept for a lower end hotel chain. The breakfast was good and staff was again nice. I wish there was water in the rooms. I was very disturbed by the amount of trash behind the building adjacent to where I parked. It appears to have an entire homeless camp of trash right behind the building. It was disturbing to think of people making that much trash and having nowhere to go. The Best Western should at least clean the grounds.
