Red Roof Inn Doswell - Kings Dominion

We were on the second floor so difficult to move our crates up the stairs.

Amazing spot to stay at for the summer!!

Staff was very friendly. Convenient walk to and from Kings dominion.

Everything was wonderful. I absolutely enjoyed my stay.

The coffee that was in the room for the coffee makers didn’t work it was for a larger coffee maker

based on the price and the google maps photos, i wouldnt go into this expecting too much. it's close to kings dominion (a short walk through the connected parking lot) which was all i really wanted. so that was cool. but the room had a weird, unpleasant smell in it and it didnt seem to be kept up with much at all. there wasnt even soap in the bathroom hand soap dispenser.

TV Didn't Work the majority of our stay Couldn't get hotel staff on the in-room phone it didn't work The chair at the table Cut a Gash in my wife's Buttocks When she sat in it a broken rod stabbed her But the staff were awesome but We will not be staying there next year and I Dont think it was worth the cost

Location

The rooms are always clean when we stay here. The staff is always courteous and welcoming. Parking is easy for the most part if other vehicles do not block the steps going to the walkways. Air conditioning worked great, showers always have good pressure. The Mexican restaurant attached to the hotel has very good food with great prices. Perfect place to stay after a day at Kings Dominion!

The room was very clean and recently renovated. Comfortable and quiet stay. Friendly front desk staff. Powerful water pressure for a great shower. Convenient location. Great price.

It was close to Kings Dominion and had everything we needed.

The room was clean and furniture seemed modern. Staff was welcoming and nice. Parking was easy. Room had fridge and microwave which is helpful. Didn’t get to explore property cause I got in late and left early. Would definitely stay again.

My only complaint was the bed. Very hard, and the pillows were very small. However, a friend who was also staying there said her bed was fine. The convenience factor to the park and to the fairgrounds is a major plus. No getting on I-95 to get to either

Hair dryer didn’t work, the floor was still soaking wet after they “mopped,” and to top it all off the hotel was robbed in the middle of the night with over 20 police officers on scene. Definitely not the relaxing stay we expected. We will never stay there again.

Not a ton of amenities but it’s been updated. Very clean. Good enough for one night after being at King’s Dominion all day. Would not do a long stay here but it’s fine for what we need. Slept great. Mattresses were comfortable.

The was also a robbery and a murder and we needed to rent another room at another hotel since we could not get back to our room and had none of our stuff Toilet in room was loose and wobbly, tv not working correctly. Got an additional $45 charge that I have no idea what it is for. Also the grounds were covered in dog poop. You could barely walk without stepping in it.
