Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Doswell (Kings Dominion), VA

We arrived around 10 at night and waited about 10 minutes for the front desk associate to appear. She was very courteous and apologetic. As soon as we entered, we were hit in the face with a strong scent of chlorine, and I mentioned it to the front desk worker. She mentioned the pool was on the first floor. Our room was located on the second floor, and the hallway was stifling and had a strange odor. The air-conditioning appeared to be broken in the hallway or it just wasn’t turned on. In our room, the room smelled moldy and dusty. The beds were clean, but there were stains on the floor. The television worked and the bathroom was in fairly good condition, although, there were visible rust stains on the doors and the hinges. The air-conditioning was very loud and stayed loud all night, plus it admitted a dust that upset my breathing. I spent most of the night wearing a face mask and then I slept in my car when the odor in the room was unbearable. It was only for one night so I did not want to complain or uproot my family. I didn’t eat breakfast and in short, until there are renovations, I would not stay there again.

The room was very nice and clean, and the beds were comfortable. Morning breakfast was just what we needed. Eggs, sausage and make your own waffles and drinks. Just perfection!

Rooms were very outdated and need some work. Blinds were broken. Lots of police activity the first night which is unsettling. Distance to the amusement park was a perk.

The staff was great, very friendly and attentive as well as the breakfast staff. The breakfast is a plus as everyone enjoys a hot breakfast and coffee in the morning. The rooms were clean. The indoor pool could have been cleaner or checked on a bit better. The outdoor pool however was nice and clean, The location of this hotel was great as it was very close to Kings Dominion allowing us to go back in the later evening after we checked in. We very much enjoyed our stay as it was nice and quiet in the evening. We love Country Inn's and Suites very much so we use this hotel chain always as they are located close to many attractions. The cookies in the lobby are great as well and my daughters enjoyed the chocolate chip cookies when we first checked in to the hotel.

below average quality.. which has, unfortunately, become the standard in this country... high prices, low quality... it's like the profit goes in the pockets, not the property... common trend in the hotel business...

I had a great experience. The hotel was well maintained, the staff members were polite and helpful and all amenities were available during my stay.

The staff was accommodating with my group as we were a large group. The hotel allowed for us to check -in early .check out was excellent. Breakfast was warm and hot every morning. Rooms were clean. Linen were clean.

The only good thing about this hotel was the continental breakfast in the morning. And the ease of check-in and check-out.

The boys and I will stay here everytime we go to Kings Dominion. The breakfast has the best scrambled eggs ever!!

Breakfast was very good. Location is convenient to Kings Dominion and Interstate. There's a Burger King across the street and a 7-11 with gas a few hundred yards away.

Breakfast was decent. Room was comfortable and staff was accommodating, however we had a roach in our bathroom. Everything else was great. Just didn’t want to end up taking any pests home.

The front desk was not helpful. Seemed to be bothered when I asked for help. Breakfast was stale.
