OYO Hotel Doswell Kings Dominion

This place is horrible, it’s nothing more than a truck rest stop. There is no lobby, no waiting area and no front desk to check in/out. The lobby is a truck rest stop store where you can buy truck parts, gas etc. false advertising. I cancelled my trip through Expedia while on site and I still didn’t get my money back because Expedia sent the property several emails and called multiple times and no one from the property answered the phone or emails. The rooms are old, dirty, bed linen is dirty, old AC units, towels are grey (not white at all) and the room had an order. I went back to the store and canceled my room and being the fact I never checked in the property said they would refund my money but Expedia had to call them first. The property never answered any email nor did they answer the phone so now I have to file a travel insurance claim just to get my money back. DO NOT BOOK HERE you will be disappointed and disgusted!

Gave me the wrong room at first and then when we got the correct room the entire hotel was filled with roaches. Within the first 30 minutes we saw half a dozen roaches. Some around the room and larger ones were already getting in our stuff. Spend alittle extra for roach free. Expedia and the hotel refused a refund or credit. We did not end up staying here after being there for an hour.

I want refund for the room asap. near to city area thats only thing oldest builing rooms, comes with Cockroach, Ants a lot in the cornner , Sheets or curtain too stinky, pitcures are fake while registered in Booking.com app , I want refund for the room asap.

Nothing. Paid extra for a non-smoking king room and they tried to give me a double bed that was one of the worse smoke smelling rooms I’ve ever been in. Did not even offer me a refund.

Next time we stay more clean to 20% to 100% Please be more better clean. People don't like dirty rooms

Absolutely nothing I booked a room for a night with me and my friend. I’m 19 and they said I can’t book anything because I’m not 21. Which is fine I understand but THEY NEVER GAVE ME A REFUND. The guy at the counter was so rude and said they would give me a refund the next day and they never did. It was a horrible experience having to deal with that.

They are false advertising this hotel is literally behind a truck stop and they don’t disclose that. We checked in to one of our rooms and it wasn’t even clean they have dead roaches and live roaches everywhere don’t let the pictures fool you.

Nothing really. We got in late, their phone number doesnt work and the "front desk" is in the truck stop. But I had to find that through google reviews. Booking.com didnt even know that. We had no choice to stay here. It was 11 oclock. It had bugs and mold in the room. The beds did have encasements on them though.

Roaches

The employee was nice enough when it was time to check in. There were many problems though. We immediately found roaches upon entering the room. Ants in the bathtub. Burn holes in the blankets. Stains on walls and carpets and bedding. Things left in bottom of trashcan. No WiFi password. One electrical outlet was falling out of the wall. Behind furniture was dirty. Tiny towels and only 2 for a family of 3. An ashtray in a non smoking room. Complicated finding where to check in. Different hotel name than what is listed.

The bed was okay and right across from kings Dominion Rooms were DISGUSTING with roaches, staff very rude, no towels or toiletries in room, TV didn't work, and there isn't a 24 hour restaurant it's a dang storage room

Nothing Roaches to begin with - at least a dozen running around. We couldn’t stay there. We had to go find another hotel. Did not feel safe at all.
