Best Western Plus Dubuque Hotel & Conference Center

The jacuzzi was not cleaned well in my room. There were contact lenses in there and some kind of string from clothing. Also had like a film dirt ring from someone else who used it before. Our room said it accommodated 4 people and the room we got only had room for 2 people to sleep. There was no sofa nor sofa bed for the other 2 guests. When I asked why the room only accommodates 2 people can we please get a cot. They told me it would cost extra money to get one??? Are you serious. I already paid a lot for the room plus a deposit and was told it would sleep 4 which was a lie. So why not just bring the cot up for us to use since you didn’t meet what you said the room had. The breakfast was good. Air conditioning worked well. Some staff were helpful and nice. Others told me conflicting things which had me wanting to not even go there but they would not refund my money. I will not be going back here.

Staff were… there. None of them would address us or even acknowledge us most of the time. Weird. Other than that great stay!

The room was clean and comfortable. We were not allowed to check in at the appointed time. No advance warning was given to us via text or email. We had to repack the the car and the baby and rearrange our plans for the evening. I reached out to the hotel the next day and received no response. We were given two drink tokens to the adjoining restaurant for our troubles. Our family was four adults and one infant and we had booked two rooms.

I booked through a 3rd party. I double checked confirmation - 1 Standard Room with King Size bed. Upon check in we found we were given a room with 2 Queen beds. They said that they had no other rooms available, that they were totally booked. I explained that I never would have booked a Queen since my husband is 6'8" tall. Did the booking company or the hotel make the error?? However, staff was able to shuffle around guests who have not checked in yet. We appreciate their efforts to correct this error which made our staff much more enjoyable.

he rooms and the overall property was good. the turn off was the front desk staff. Busy weekend, however put a smile on your face and keep mindful of your tone.

The staff didn’t clean the room or take out the trash when we stayed 2 nights. Also we called for bedding and it took like a hour to get it. Our phone in the room didn’t work and the tv didn’t work

The staff and breakfasts were exceptional. It was old and run down. The rugs were dirty and there were a lot of out of order signs.

This place was awesome! Great atmosphere and setup. Loved it all!

Room was clean though the AC was quite noisy.

Our room was 76 degrees when we arrived as the air conditioning was not working. We called the front desk and the maintenance person arrived a few minutes later. He had it working in no time. It took a while to cool down but it was fixed very quickly which was much appreciated.

When we got there, the pool was not working that day. Just a "sorry" was all we got- and "hopefully it will be working tomorrow". We drove 5 hours to stay here for multiple days. The kids were DEVASTED. We had to pivot as that was our plan that evening to swim. Luckily the pool was working the following day- but we never got a text like the front desk lady promised. Not a good way to start our trip. The hotel seems like in a good area. Marsha was great in the morning during breakfast. Breakfast itself was pretty good- standard hotel breakfast. I'm a Best Western rewards member and never did get my credit for my points for staying there. Overall, the hotel was nice. the pool was good size, hot tub worked well. Just a few things that could have been easily fixed.

There was only one person handling the front desk, she was was on a long phone call helping with a reservation when I arrived. This had me and the others in line waiting quite a bit to be checked in. Lots of staff was around and walking behind the desk but no one else jumped in to help with customers. The pool area was nice, the room was older and smelled like smoke but was today and breakfast needed more options. The hotel did the job for a 1 night stay but it wasn’t anything to write home about.

Front desk attendant when we checked in was very unhelpful. Luckily we didn't need to have contact with her again. Room was clean and comfortable. Air conditioner was good. Breakfast was the usual for a hotel, nothing special, cold eggs.
