Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Dubuque, IA

Had to cancel my reservation due to a medical emergency which resulted in my husband spending 11 hours in an ER. When I tried to cancel the reservation I was told it is non refundable. I did not even make the reservation, the nurse did she had my charge card. We did not have a car and there was no transportation (Uber, Lyft, Taxi) to your hotel.(20 Miles away). I feel under these circumstances there should be a total refund. Radisson should do the right thing.

Arrived early. Staff still checked us in.

The pool and outdoor area were great. Breakfast was fine and lobby in good shape. Rooms did not smell good and definitely hampered the stay but otherwise got the job done.

Found mold on curtains near AC unit, and room was musty. They did not stock breakfast well either.

The room was clean. The staff were very pleasant and did check in and check out very quickly. The breakfast was good.

Didn't have a working refrigerator. Online said pool and spa was open until midnight but sign in pool area said otherwise. Had a staff member that was rude. Won't be going back.

Very over priced!! Staff was pretty lazy! The room was clean. The breakfast was less than desirable.

We did not see staff very much. At the front desk we had to call for help when we checked in and out. At breakfast, no one came to check if more of anything needed to have food added.

The room itself appeared clean, but the dingy walls and persistent musty smell made it feel less clean than it actually was. The staff was friendly and courteous, though they appeared to be short-staffed. We waited quite a while at the front desk before someone was available to check us in. Room rates were significantly higher than normal because of several events happening in town. At the price we paid, I didn't feel the room delivered the value I expected. If rates had been closer to the hotel's typical pricing, I likely would have felt differently.

Overall, our stay at the Country Inn & Suites in Dubuque was decent. The room was clean, the hotel was quiet, and the location was convenient, with two great restaurants within walking distance. There were a few maintenance issues that should be addressed. The door handle to our room was extremely difficult to open, which raised a safety concern. In the event of an emergency, getting out of the room quickly could have been a problem. The hot tub temperature was comfortable, but it was difficult to find the button to turn on the jets. The pool also needed more attention, as there were spiders and centipedes in the water. My son ended up helping clean them out before we could enjoy the pool. Breakfast was okay—nothing exceptional, but it got the job done. With a little more attention to maintenance and pool upkeep, this hotel could provide a much better experience. The clean rooms, quiet atmosphere, and convenient location were definitely the highlights of our stay.

The breakfast was a little disappointing. We were there for four days and there were eggs 1 out of the 4. Also, I was disappointed to see that all of the plates and silverware for breakfast were disposable. It would have been nice to have reusable items. The staff were very nice and helpful.

Hot tub was not heating and did not get hot until an hour before they close the pool area. Found food left from a previous guest in our room. Strange smell in hallway. And there was mold on the wall in the bathroom in our room.

Carpet in both of our rooms had burn holes in them. Sink had no stopper. Hot tub was ice cold unable to use. Bed was comfortable

great and clean place to stay

Perfect for a 1 night stay! Only complaint was that our room was supposed to have a tub which it did but there was no way to plug the drain to give my toddler a bath. We managed though!

Location was good for my reason for visiting the area Bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. Breakfast was absolutely terrible. Each day had to ask for assistance. Food was disgusting with the exception of the waffles, which you make yourself. Will NOT be visiting again. These are honest answers. Plus the amount of money I spent and I didn't even receive a bottle of water

The breakfast was disappointing. Stayed 3 days in a row and all had some sort of sausage each time, no bacon? The whole breakfast needs improved except for the waffle iron. There were no options on the TV to stream any streaming services. The pool needed some better upkeep. Pieces of mortar missing. Hot tub was nice and spacious. Nice outside area for to gather small group of people. Would have been nice to have ice machines on all floors, especially when that is what the sign on each floor says.

Parking was easy, staff were all very nice and friendly. Room was clean - breakfast was just ok.
