Unique, older facility. Clean and comfortable. Robert and his wife were good hosts. Served a very nice healthy breakfast.

Loved the architecture. The host was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Location was perfect for the concert we went too. Within walking distance of the farmers market if you are going on a weekend. Will definitely stay again

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights while celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. We loved the idea of staying at a unique property and were not disappointed. Robert, the innkeeper and owner, was excellent and provided a nice breakfast for us, as well as, history about the mansion and Dubuque Iowa in general. While the property does exhibit it's age, it's character was everything we had hoped for. We also loved that the location was central to the downtown area and many businesses were within walking distance. We will surely stay here again when we are in the Dubuque area.

Charming place to stay.

The decor was nice and home. Abe the establishment was very clean.
-
Beautiful property that has been neglected. Owner seemed more interested in selling it. We left early (stayed only 1 of 2 nights).
-
Loved the charm and history of the home. Breakfast was ample and the owner was friendly. Owner seems to be struggling with upkeep and the property is for sale.
-
Rooms have imperfections but the charm, staff and breakfast surpass it all. We will be back.

Robert was an amazing host. This is a beautiful very old building. It had a lot of character. It could use some restoration. But would highly recommend staying at Robert’s place

Breakfast was very nice. Older mansion that has beautiful wood work. Main level in good shape. My room had peeling/taped wallpaper. Painted woodwork was chipped and dirty. Smoke detector in room was disabled. Bed was firm. Small bathroom.

The manager was very helpful with our luggage and parking. The building required a lot of maintenance especially on outside. The key lock on our room door was broken. Some concern about security as there was only one other party there although we didn’t see them.
-
Easy access to downtown, fabulous host, fresh fruit at breakfast and socializing with other guests; delightful experience!! Bed was comfy too!
-
Great breakfast and beautiful Inn! The owner was so helpful and friendly. Definitely plan to return soon.
-
It’s rustic and has 1900’s early American rooms, kinda takes you back in time. Robert, the proprietor, is very knowledgeable about the mansions history and the original owners design. Very quiet stay. It needs a few repairs but didn’t affect our stay. Being on the Historical Registry dictates any changes to the property.

Richard was great.

The breakfast was the best I have ever eaten at a hotel. The fruit was very fresh, and Robert prepared a delicious egg plate in addition to the other food. Beautiful music played in the background and the setting was lovely. Nothing.
