Property is historic which is cool, and the room nice with comfortable beds. However, the room was 80 degrees, and we had to mess with the air conditioner several times for it to remain on and work. Also, there was no soap to wash our hands at the bathroom sink - irritating issues after driving 13 hours.

I love staying at this hotel, but this time it was evident that some updates need to be done to the rooms. The ottoman in the room had an iron burn and stains. The carpet was also stained.

This property is tastefully updated for an older hotel. The craftsmanship for this time period is remarkable. No musty “old hotel smell.” Our room was very clean with a comfortable bed. The staff were fantastic, particularly at the smaller bar/eatery. I recommend this landmark hotel !

We were able to check in early. Staff was great, room was great. Loved location.

Arrived to room… 85 degrees. Turned down thermostat hours later 84 degrees. Told staff. They said oh sorry that room was supposed to be blocked out of service.

Bar was great! Loved the bartender and the fact they have a real gluten free beer. Wish the drink selection was the same at Carolines. Excellent salmon and chocolate torte at Carolines. Hotel was quiet and hot tub and pool were nice. Recommend stretching some of the carpet especially on the 4th floor. Love the music and decor. We saw fireworks from the windows of the hotel. Will definitely be back.

I was pleasantly surprised that it was just across the bridge from the Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium! I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Old world elegance with all the modern amenities. While breakfast was not free at the hotel, an extensive and reasonably priced breakfast is available on site at Caroline's. Their giant cinnamon roll is large enough to split with your partner...also super delicious!

The front desk staff were helpful in locating restaurants for varying diets. Parking was easy and on site. We had a lovely stay.
