Straightforward nice sized clean room, everything worked, everything was clean. Didn't need or want anything fancy, so this was comfortable and just right. Coffee was available 24/7, ample parking. Main entrance could be better lit.

This is definitely for budget minded travelers who don’t need anything fancy. The property is kept very neat and tidy, decorated nicely, and has a pool, hot tub, and little arcade room, nice for kiddos. Coffee is on all the time. The beds and pillows were comfy, shower was hot and strong. Rooms have TV, fridge, and microwave. Towels are small but ok. I cannot say the room was clean though. I wiped down one wall that should have never gotten by housekeeping. These old motels have been used and abused for decades-so many things (like shakey commodes and sticky carpets) are just par for the course with very old properties. Would I stay there again? Sure.

    Good place

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

—The room charge DOUBLED for the weekend nights. I was SHOCKED as that was not written anywhere !!!! — the manager politely said “it’s summer in Duluth & some other motels double rates. This is the cheapest motel in the area.” I don’t know if that was true, but I didn’t want to bother moving and finding another place. —most of the room was quite dark. Only bedside lamps & the light over sink next to the door. Manager REMOVED all lamps after someone stole a lamp. —towels were good enough —staff were nice, if very inexperienced — I would not stay there again— and in the future I will ask if room rates are the same for my entire stay. — it was adequately clean. —the manager said they were sold out for the weekend.

Thanks got being so accommodating. Great stsff

Basic accommodations, coffee and tea service only. The hotel doesn't really have a common space or any place to gather, nor outside seating other than a smokers bench, just a small single sofa in the main room which shaped odd and dim inside. the room was not in good shape, missing part of the windows and wasn't able to be locked, on the first floor. Someone had attached a small thumb screw thing, so you could open the window but the actual assemble was missing half inside security glass and could easily be opened from the outside. Thumb tacks were in the shades and the wall to keep the shades tight, cracks or open holes on the tub enclosure and the hallway door had a nearly 1" gap. Between the door and the window you got all the noise inside and out, which on a Saturday night meant street racers and a steady stream of hallway noise.

I found the staff to be very supportive to my daughter who arrived after surgery. Very accommodating and very good communication with staff.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Would not recommend. The hotel smells awful and the rooms are not clean.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

There was someone else's dirty socks left on the floor of our room and an open condom wrapper in the shower. I was charged at the Hotel despite paying ahead of time and had to insist on a refund to get my momey back.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Cost was $20 higher than what the Expedia reservation stated. Will not get my business again

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

We got charged twice booking through Expedia and they charged again at check out. I also think they gave us a lesser value room.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Our bed had a used tissue in it, the sheets were put on the wrong way anyway, the mirrors were dirty, the carpet had multiple stains throughout the room, the parking lot was full of potholes, and overall the room felt gross. And on top of that, they charge $240/night just because it was Grandma’s Marathon weekend. Don’t stay here.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

It was just fine. The room was clean enough. It was affordable. The parking lot is in rough shape but for the money it was fine. Not great. Certainly not terrible. Staff was nice and helpful.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

This was exactly what you pay for kind of place. Very cheap, and felt that way. It's what we were looking for when we had a scheduled surgery in the area. With grandma's marathon in town this weekend, the other hotels were insanely expensive. The website did say they offer breakfast but they had cookies and coffee. The coffee was great though! We used the pool and the hot tub both were kind of slimy but the temperature was nice

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Room was nice, clean, well maintained.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Although there were times the person at the front desk was a bit lacking in social skills, it didn’t really detract from the value of the hotel. The management was exceptional and the stay in Duluth was very nice, partly due to having a nice comfortable bed to return to in the evening.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

Staff very friendly. A donut or something in the morning would be nice. Coffee was ok. Nice to know there is a reasonable priced place to stay.

No continental breakfast but have a breakfast room. Had hairs in bath tub 1st room had a smell of urine had to switch rooms . Had to hold tub faucet Handel crooked to get water to turn on. Had people in n out of rooms with doors slamming shut till after 2am. Our bed looked as if it was never changed for linen from last guests crumbs in the bed dirt streaks on pillow cases the a/c was so loud we could not stand to keep it on a big chunk of the front of it was missing . Had very limited channels to watch. The front desk lady was kind but seemed to not know how to work the computer system well but eventually figured it out !
