Endion Station Inn | Hotel Next to Lake Superior

The Endion has only five rooms. There is normally no staff on site, all access is via access codes. It's in a great location at the top of Canal Park, with trails, restaurants, bars, and other activities within easy waling distance.

Good spot, would stay again.

So, we arrive at the hotel. We bring a wagon with us to make it easier to get our things to our room. As I'm a drone pilot. Lots of stuff to carry. We get there, and there's no elevator up to the room. The steps that lead to the room aren't marked with any form of indicators. So my wife trips walking up to the first step. The steps themselves, feel like they're about 2.5 feet across. They're narrow. So trying to carry our things up to our room as well as myself. I'm a bigger guy. Was tight. We get into the room. It is nice. But there's no place to sit and eat dinner. No where to setup a laptop and work that is immediately evident. The bed squeaked loudly just from sitting on it. And even in the room. The steps up and down continued. We checked in at 6:30 pm, and checked out at 8:00 pm. Wouldn't recommend.

Parking was excellent and was in a great location!

Would be nice to have some hooks in the bathroom for clothes.

The room (4) could use an update. The carpet and chair cushions are dirty and worn out. Also, would be nice to have an ice maker in the common area, especially since the in room refrigerators do not have a freezer compartment.

I liked the location ( most western spot of Gitchi gami), easy to get on the Lake Walk. Private parking spot was a bonus. My room (#3) was a good size, bed comfortable, bath room clean.

We enjoyed our stay at the Endion Station Inn room#5. Was located right on the shore of Lake Superior, walking distance from restaurants and tourist attractions. Loved the balcony, spent relaxing time watching the lake and people passing by. Comfortable bed, charming decor and enjoyed the Nespresso coffee machine. We loved the easy check and everything about the location and our stay. We recommend this spot 100%

This is a self check in 5 room hotel in an old railway station. Think history meets shabby chic with very high ceilings and you will be on the right track (haha) We stayed in room 3 and it was spacious, clean, confortable and worked out well for us for a night. Free parking spot right on the lake is pretty great, too.

The room was nice for one night. It was clean, the bed was comfy and very pet friendly. The location and patio were excellent. It was a little noisy at night due to road noise, we were in room 4, closest to the road. I would stay again.

Room was clean and the location was great. But for the price the amenities provided were minimal. Nice to have a sauna available, but there was no ice provided, or breakfast that other locations near by provide and are about the same price.

Nice change of pace

Cute/unique historical property within walking distance of canal park. Close to the lake and beach. Parking was included and easy. Great windows, lots of light and no road noise despite being close to the road. Fire pit on the patio overlooking the lake was great. Check in was easy and staff was friendly.

Have not been this disappointed in a room ever. Stayed in #3.Dont stay there! Nothing g at all was "boutique" or "luxury". It was dirty beyond belief, the bed was a steel frame off the floor, nothing else, the furnishings were just old, decrepit.

Room 5 is upstairs and is reached by a very narrow, steep staircase. There is no elevator, and this was not mentioned anywhere on the Expedia listing. We had great difficulty carrying our luggage up the stairs. Had I known about these stairs, I would not have booked the room. The balcony also has a surprisingly large step up to it. The bed is extremely low, which also made getting up difficult. The refrigerator is tiny and the air conditioning struggled to keep the room cool. The property is virtually unstaffed and access is by door codes, so make sure you have them saved before arriving. Overall, a cute place in a fantastic location, but Room 5 is absolutely not a good choice for anyone with mobility, knee or back problems. The steep stair-only access in particular really needs to be clearly disclosed when booking.

The location is next to the interstate which seemed to be a drag strip late into the hours of night. Also, there is a walkway to the lakewalk next-door that many homeless people were on. There is a park directly in front with picnic tables and a lot of homeless people were sitting there drinking all day. Also with a public parking lot next to it, all three nights of our stay somebody was pulling in there with their stereo cranked and extremely loud bass coming from the vehicle. It is a cute place, but I would not stay there again because of the noise factor and if you like to sleep in, you cannot do that unless you bring an eye mask because there are no window coverings on the top windows.

This was my first stay at Endion Station in Canal Park, and it was such a wonderful surprise! The location was perfect, right on the lakewalk. I stayed in Room #1 which had a beautiful lakeside view with lots of windows and natural light. The room was cozy and clean with very high ceilings which I loved. In addition to the location, I loved the deck and the firepit in the evening ! I am a woman traveling alone, and I felt very safe Highly recommend Endion Station!
