The Suites Hotel at Waterfront Plaza

Parking was nice and easy, close by. Staff was super nice and easy to talk to. Kitchen was in perfect order along with the fridge and microwave. It was very clean. One thing that needs looked at is the lights on the other side by the beds. They didn’t work. Otherwise great stay.

Interesting layout of rooms in historic district in downtown Duluth. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel surprises me every time. I've stayed here before, but it had been several years. Reading some of the reviews, honestly I was a little nervous that something had changed. However, when I checked in, it was exactly as I remembered it. The staff is super helpful. Checking in, the person was very kind and professional, check in was quick and easy. After the first night, we did ask for 2 extra pillows and they were given with no question. The rooms are clean, very large, very comfortable. We didn't really use the kitchen as we only stayed a couple of days, but I love the thought that it's there if we want it. There is an actual table, and a couch to relax on. The breakfast is very good. I did miss a make your own waffle station, but there was PLENTY to choose from. It was all clean, fresh, and hot. The first morning we went down close to end time, say 915. Everything was still full and fresh. They do have a nice pool area, although I didn't use it. I heard one of the guests that was in there say that the pool was pretty cold, but I can't speak to that myself. My only critique is that the gym area felt a little bit dirty....needed some basic vacuuming and wiping. But there was adequate equipment. A couple of treadmills, couple of ellipticals, and some free weights. Fancy? No. Adequate? Sure. For the price and location, I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Right in easy walking distance to literally everything in Canal Park, and we even easily walked downtown. Fantastic!

Our suite was very clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub area was lovely, and the rooms were huge. Breakfast was good, we would absolutely stay here again!

The parking part can be challenging but the staff if amazing since they will work with you in getting a place to park.

It’s was a pleasant stay.

Check-in service was great, no waiting. Parking was easy, free across the street. Location was perfect walkable. 2 room suite was comfortable with great view (suggest adding full dark out shades for night sleeping). Pool and hot tub temperatures were too cold to enjoy. Staff and Service was wonderful!

It is a very clean place, Staff is very helpful. Within walking distance to so much. We will return.

Good time

Having a full size fridge is a huge plus

The carpets were visibly dirty, and the elevator appeared to be in poor condition, which honestly made us question whether it was safe to use. Our room also had a strong moldy, musty smell that never went away. There were dead bugs covering the windowsill, and the window air conditioner was extremely loud. Every time we lowered the temperature, it made an awful noise that made it difficult to sleep. The amenities were also disappointing. The sauna was cold, the hot tub was out of order, and the breakfast was mediocre at best. To top it all off, I woke up at 3:30 a.m. with a daddy longlegs spider crawling on my face. I wasn't expecting a luxury hotel, but I did expect a clean, well-maintained place that took pride in providing a comfortable experience for its guests. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Even my children commented on the condition of the hotel and were concerned about how run-down it was. Overall, this was a very disappointing stay, and I would not return.

Free parking!! Rooms are great for a couple or a family, full kitchen-stove/fridge with freezer/dishwasher, great way to eat healthy and save money. Great location, staff was friendly and helpful, will stay again.

We got a really good room in an amazing neighborhood. Our biggest regret was that we were only here one night. Getting checked in also is a little bit tricky as the parking situation and lack or ramps for luggage can be tricky.

There was no shampoo or body wash in the shower. Completely empty. Everything else was good
