The service and interaction with the hostel was very poor. I called to find out where the free parking was, but no one ever called me back. Fortunately, I was advised by the bartender at the on-site bar, although this wasn't her job. I parked in the lot of another business and fortunately did not get a ticket. The two main roads in front and on the side of Zenith were under closed due to construction. There is basically no way to get in touch with this location. The facility is clean, but the construction is so cheap that I could hear everything in neighboring rooms -- not because they were particularly loud, but because the walls were paper thin and just closing a door gently caused it to reverberate and echo. I was awakened at 5 am by people leaving on their excursions. There was no coffee available and it seemed odd to have a Keurig in the common areas. How many people setting out to hike or paddle are carrying coffee pods? I planned to camp during my trip, so I had coffee with me, but there was no regular coffee pot to make it and, of course, no one to ask. The only thing that saved this experience was the lively bar downstairs which was nice place to relax after a long drive. But on the whole, this is not a stay I would repeat.

It was very loud. The couple in the room next to me talked until after midnight. The walls are open on top that allow both light and sound in.

I do not have one positive thing to say about this place... I would warn anybody I know about ever having anything to do with it!

Just easy, safe and stress-less. I travel solo on occasion and am sensitive to feeling safe and independent. This place was terrific.

I was disappointed that there were no staff anywhere during check-in. This information did come via an email, but it would've been helpful to have this information prior to booking. And while the place was clean, you have to pay extra for towels & the parking is a block away. Honestly, the whole thing was a bummer & I won't be staying there again. If all you need is a bed, you'll be good - but if you want ANYTHING else, you'll be left wanting.

Cons: That being said, if you are a light sleeper, this is NOT the place for you. The walls are extra thin and there's about a one foot gap where the wall ends from the ceiling for each room. They tried to cover this up with decorative dividers, but all the ambient light and noise from other people's rooms comes right on into yours. I hardly slept honestly. Pros and cons are there for you to choose.

Room and bathrooms were very clean. Nice property with a great outdoor focus. Only concern was the key entry system to the outside doors was very picky. Recommend to stay again.

It was very different from any place ive ever stayed. You dont see any staff unless you go into the shop or bar. But it says its a glamping experience which is totally true in the sense of no staff and the walls are paper thin. It was a cool place but due to tge thin walls I heard to many unpleasant things I will not stay there again!

Zenith Basecamp is a unique accommodation and a model that I hope catches on. On site, they refer to it as a glamping hostel. The space is impeccable, set up in a newly renovated historic office building. There’s no frills (bring your own shampoo, soap, and towel), but what’s there is great. You get your own room, with shared individual bathrooms and a kitchenette available for guest use. We also enjoyed the cocktail bar on site!

Simple, clean accommodations that provide all you need (bed, bathroom) for a stay. Note that the semi-permeable walls (about a foot worth at the very top) allow light and sound in, so you may want to pack an eye mask and earplugs to help ensure a good night’s sleep. Our neighbors’ light was on most or all of the night, which I hadn’t anticipated keeping me up. It was quiet at night but we woke in the morning to people talking right outside our room in the common area; not Zenith’s fault, since it happened during their designated quiet hours, but I might not recommend the risk for very light sleepers. Overall this place is well-located, clean and straightforward. And I appreciate that more affordable hostel options like this exist! Thanks for a great stay.

Amazing place to stay! The shared spaces are super nice and just what you need. Very clean and spacious rooms. Lovely offerings before check-in (pre-order beer and snacks in room) and great offerings for tours etc! Check those out when you book!
