Dunmore Inn

Older motel that has been refurbished nicely. Smaller room with shower only but fine for me. Bed was comfy and area was quiet during stay.

This is a motel. Good area. Convenient to restaurants. Clean and updated. Tiny rooms only for two people.

Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. There were no amenities to speak of, but is a good, affordable option.

My only gripe was the surprise request for a fully refundable $50 cash "security fee". But that was not unique to this establishment, and Expedia should have mentioned it.

Was able to park right outside of my room

Area was up on a hill. Room was clean and well stocked. No coffee maker. Like the drive up to your room and unload.

Small room but clean quiet was good for one person I had business to do got my work done okay for one person

The “Inn-Keepers” were very helpful and gracious. It was all good!

Clean and close to interstates

No breakfast, but the location was great. Just minutes from Starbucks and all the places we wanted to go in Scranton. Everything inside and out was clean and fresh. Obviously the building has been here for years, but you'd never know it - very well maintained and refreshed.

The room was clean and comfortable.

The air conditioner was a bit strange to operate, and the thermostat on the wall was about to fall off. The beds were comfortable and cozy. We asked about where to dine and were given the suggestion of "The Loading Dock" which was a very short distance from the motel. Great suggestion!! The Loading Dock was excellent! We watched humongous plates of spaghetti and meatballs, gumbo, fries and many other dishes being served. We split a meal, and it was plenty. When in the area, we would surely stay at The Dunmore, and enjoy large meals at the Loading Dock! Don't miss either one!!

Very clean, but the satellite TV didn't seem to work. Nice hot shower, but no tub. I didn't like that you needed to give them a refundable $50 cash deposit for incidentals. Very inconvenient, and they are too stubborn to work with customers on that. Not everyone has cash on hand. They should accept credit/debit cards. Accepting cash deposits seems so tacky and unprofessional. Also, the room door didn't have any security features, such as a chain, etc. The bed could have been softer, and more cozy. Very basic accommodations.

There was no breakfast. It was very clean and comfortable. It was a nice hot shower. Nice size room and it was pretty. We enjoyed the room. The only thing that was not real nice was hearing the bathroom activity of the room next door. And some of the conversation could be heard as well. But was an old building that has been well kept and updated.

The quiet Nothing

Plenty on parking, room was clean and spacious, perfect for a our one night stay.

Parking was easy. The room was very clean. Each room has it's own heating/cooling and it worked well (although quite loud). Everything in the room was very clean. It was a very small room but it was perfect for us since we just needed a place to sleep. It was very affordable and the staff were friendly. We felt safe there. We didn't hear any noise from others staying there. I recommend this place because it's very clean and affordable. Great if you just need to sleep for the night and spend your days elsewhere. The shower was very clean and the shower head was big and distributed a good amount of water. The towels were thick. There was a refrigerator, all though it too, was very loud. The one thing that threw us was that all the appliances were unplugged when we checked in. We had to plug in anything we were using. We didn't realize this until we had already put food in the fridge and came back 3 hours later to reailze it wasn't running and we had to plug it in. We will stay there again.
