Fairfield Inn by Marriott Scranton

Room was clean but showed visible age. Refrigerator was tiny and the freezer compartment was virtually unusable due to being extremely iced up. Notified front desk of this issue shortly after I checked in. Bed was comfortable and air conditioning worked well.

On arrival lady was great in the morning no so great but still a good experience.

Ok hotel for overnight stay.

The first room was wet and damp. The carpet was wet and there was water on the table. We requested a room change. The second room had sweat and mildew odour.

Great place to stay.

Room was nice as well as staff. Didn't use the amenities.

There is a giant pothole in the parking lot. And the staff seems to have overbooked the hotel beyond what they can maintain a safe and enjoyable stay. There were at least 40 people downstairs for breakfast and for some unknown reason all of them brought their luggage down and clogged up all the walkways and seating area. I couldn't have gotten out of the lobby safely should there have been an issue.

The smell in the bathroom was absolutely vile. This is the second Fairfield Marriott we stayed in that had a bathroom that didn't appear to be cleaned in months. The worst part is the shower curtain that had stains and mold on it which were obviously causing the smell. Even after spraying it down with an anti-bacterial spray, it smelled disgusting. We left before breakfast was served but why would weekend breakfast start at 7:00am?! There was no one at the front desk to check us out. I waited a long time and still no one showed up. Sadly, this is yet another chain of hotels that has gone downhill in just one year.

The televisions in the breakfast area were not working and the floor of the exercise room needed to be vacuumed.

The building needs lot of love. No chair or sofa in the room. Electrical plug for cell recharge on the wall loose. Juice dispenser for breakfast falling appart. Not one of Fairfield best location.

Needs some sprucing up. Many items were not working properly like the bathroom fan and door. Room was not particularly clean. Dirt in corners and sheets on one bed were dirty. Management dealt with issues and provided assurance that they would be addressed.

Will used again!
