This is always a great MARRIOTT chain, and they did amazingly well considering that a major access road to the hotel is now under construction. It was difficult to gain access, but once the detour signs were located, it was fine.

I’ve stayed here in the past which was why I chose this hotel again. Unfortunately, this stay was not great. I had to move rooms right away because the A/C unit sounded like it was about to come through the wall every time it turned on or off. Also, tv was so dark you could barely make out the picture. (Settings are not adjustable-locked). My second room- counter top had several stains, as did the toilet seat if you can believe that! It was gross. I sanitized it myself but why wouldn’t they just replace it?! Body soap dispenser also did not work. Bathroom did not have a fan so floor was wet for quite some time from condensation after a shower. Breakfast was great when I’ve stayed in the past- no good this time around. Burnt food and repetitive choices. Even day old fruit leftovers (which was very obvious). I will choose somewhere else next trip.

Excellent breakfast. The staff was outstanding. The room's television did not work the first night and the front desk clerk spent extensive time troubleshooting and escalating the outage. The room's heating, cooling and fan did not respond to the in-room thermostat.

Room was clean. Comfortable bed. Basic hotel breakfast. Lots of parking. Had A/C issue quickly resolved by a really nice technician. Close to 9th St where there’s lots of restaurants. Vin Rouge was delicious and JuJu. Would stay here again.

The air conditioner was not working for the whole night and I find the bugs in the bed

Poorly designed rooms. Poor cleaning. Good breakfast. Good parking. Efficient staff -Daniasia was very helpful.

The rooms are spacious and the location is great in downtown Durham. Easy walk to Duke east. Several good restaurants and ice cream are just a block away. There's a charge for parking here. Breakfast was tasty. I would stay here again.

Very clean and spacious room. Hotel staff that I had contact with were very hospitable and professional.

The only area that could use improvement is the breakfast. The selection was very basic, mostly eggs and pork options, with limited healthier choices available. The fruit also did not seem very fresh. I think revamping the breakfast menu with fresher ingredients and more healthy variety would make the stay even better. Despite that, I would still recommend this hotel because the customer service was outstanding.

Clean, spacious rooms with an extremely helpful staff! Highly recommended!!

I greatly enjoyed the service provided at the front desk by Tiffani. Both her and helped me resolve an issue without any negativity. When you can approach customer service with a mindset that every problem has a solution, only great things happen.

Great downtown location

Wi-Fi did not work and we were not told the procedure for paying for parking. Received a $20 ticket.

Rooms were spacious and spotless. Customer Service was phenomenal! Housekeeping were friendly and had no problems giving the extra items needed, including extra pillows.

We love this hotel. The staff is excellent and the rooms are well designed and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious.
