Unscripted Durham, Part of JDV by Hyatt

Property was clean and unique. I wasn't happy with the hotel parking. We had to pay 25.00 extra for parking in the deck. This wasn't disclosed in the initial reservation. Also the code to leave the parking deck didn't work, either. Thanks to a nice lady, we were able to get out of the deck. Other than this, the stay was fine.

Music, DJ, in the lobby was so loud we couldn’t even hear to get checked in. We were literally screaming back and forth so we couldn’t even hear hear each other. The music was ridiculous.

No place to register out of the weather. Not a big deal but contemporary decorating is tacky; especially the wallpaper and carpet in the hallways. Registration staff (Joseph) was friendly , but new and had little info. I just don't think we will go back there.

The Unscripted-Durham is a cute/retro boutique hotel smack dab in middle of hopping downtown. Check-in wasn’t ideal but every single employee I interacted with was extremely nice/helpful. Parking was *not* included in my Expedia package, which came as an unpleasant surprise since it was conveyed to be included. The small pool and very large pool-lounge area are clearly the “stars of the show.” Food was decent, but would recommend checking out nearby eateries/bars over convenience of staying in.

We had booked a handicap accessible room, however our room was not. No bars in the shower or near the toilet and the toilet was not chair height. The third night we were there, there were folks (not sure if they were legitimate guests) in the pool area right outside our room all night, yelling and making loud noises. We would not stay there again.

Great visit… enjoyed the pool and the atmosphere… will be back again soon. Highly recommend

Location was great, room was comfortable, pool was small but nice. Issues with room service. The garage was filthy and that was tracked into the hotel, the carpet was very dirty. Times communicated in the email were not accurate. The bar at the pool was closed early while we were up there, but there was no announcement or explanation given.

The pool was green and cloudy. There were clothes or shoes floating in the bottom of it.

The hotel is cool if you want to chill by the pool but don't bother trying to sleep at this place.

We liked the location and easy check in the sheets were dirty with make up and clenliness was not up to standards

Spacious, clean room with a comfortable bed. Parking is convenient and the staff were friendly. Located within walking distance of a lot of restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

The property is well located and well equipped for its star rating. My room was large and very comfortable- overall it was great value for the money. The staff were also excellent, so helpful and accommodating - I enjoyed my 2 night stay. Nothing.

The location was great. It was in the heart of the city center.

The hotel is fun but the last couple times you’ve been there the restaurant hadn’t been opened downstairs

Stayed one night with my daughter so we didn’t get to enjoy the amenities but it’s a great central location, friendly staff at check in and check out, clean and comfortable room. Definitely will stay again.

Could be great but it is only good

Our room was very nice ( after they first offered me a room with no windows!) the pool area felt more like and old motel. Bar had no club soda overall it felt like a young persons hotel.

We were able to go downstairs and checkout. I booked through Expedia so we will see how well the refund goes through.

Good location , was in town for a convention & the pool was nice .
