Embassy Suites Syracuse

I had a confirmed reservation and showed up at 2pm to check in and found reception closed with a note on the door that they were closed until 4 pm. Phone went to voicemail mail. When they finally opened at 4 they gave me a key to a room that was already occupied. When the receptionist called the manager she said that although they had our reservation the hotel was full due to a wedding she’s claimed that she had tried to contact me but had no phone number. Untrue as booking.com have my phone and email. She was very unpleasant. I would highly recommend against this property

Location is great being right off I90. The breakfast is superb. Bathrooms could use an upgrade but overall a decent property.

Breakfast Mediocre staff. No controls for the AC.

I was not expecting the hotel to be as nice as it was. Staff were all very happy and helpful. The area the hotel is in.

It was amazing

The breakfast. Difficulties in trying to use Hilton app forcing me to use a third party app, which was more expensive. The hash brown potatoes were too salty. One of the lights nearest the bed was burnt out. Bathroom lighting not really bright enough for shaving.

The hotel was clean but worn and outdated. On arrival we had to be moved to three rooms. The first one the AC didn't work, The second the door lock didn;t work, The third the safe and the phones didn't work. (I had to use my cell phone to call the front desk.) We were exhausted from traveling and changing rooms (including lugging our luggage ourselves to each different room), so we just stayed in the third room even though the phones and the safe didn't work. A few staff came to fix the safe and the phones, but they couldn't get them working, But the worst part was returning to my room on the third night and finding the door ajar. It wasn't housekeeping clearning rooms because it was in the evening. When they cleaned the room they didn't close the door. That was frightening and unsafe. Thankfully there was nothing stolen, but I did feel very unsafe staying the night. I spoke to the the staff that night and the hotel manager the next morning. They were apologetic for all of the problems and made efforts to make amends and I believed them to be sincere. That's the only reason I gave them two stars and high points for the staff. I will never stay there again, but I hope that they can make the necessary improvements, and tighten security protocols. My room being left open and for who knows how long is egregious. Beware!

The size of the rooms..the comfortableness for visiting with other family from other rooms One room the door was broken and didnt close right so was given another room that had a toilet ovetflow after one normal flush..all the other rooms we had were fine

Great stay at this hotel, booked last minute on our way west. Omelette breakfast bar is a great touch. Would recommend.

We always sleep comfortably & definitely love their breakfast. Will definitely come back next year if we’re in Syracuse again.

Pool was not available and we were not made aware of this when booking. Asked several times for items from the front desk as there were four in our party and amenities were set for three. Requests were met with a pleasant smile but not fulfilled. Looking for a different hotel for our future trips to Syracuse.

I like the bedroom and living room areas of the room. The building and elevators were gorgeous inside The shower needed to be fixed water coming from the turn handle to turn the shower on. The street lamp outside despite there being blinds.
