Clean rooms, quick check in and check out, quiet restaurants, nice pool, clean and safe neighborhood.

Stayed at this location many times never disappoints

We stayed here because it was pet friendly. Room had some human hair in the tun, but other than that, a pleasantly quiet and clean hotel. We'd stay again if we needed to bring our dog again

We were in Room 513 for 2 nights. The stench in the room was awful both nights. It made it very difficult to sleep. We spoke with the front desk and were told maintenance would deodorize the room. Nothing was ever done.

Highly recommend.

All I can say is bennigans

Key cards weren't working, had to be escorted to our room by security. Had to keep someone in the room during trips outside or around the property, otherwise we'd have to wait for security to bring us to our room again. No free continental breakfast, not sure why I'd pay $14.95 for a mediocre hotel breakfast. Soundproofing between rooms was lacking as we could hear what sounded like normal conversations at normal talking volume from the room next door. It only stopped being noticable when the loud A/C unit was running. The A/C unit was loud enough to wake up everyone in the room a half dozen times or so throughout the night. Room was average to slightly above average otherwise, and front desk staff was friendly.

First time at a Holiday Inn... unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations. The lobby was clean and well maintained. However our rooms were a different story. The 2 "queen " beds, were more like 2 "full " size . The room was terribly musty smelling and the air conditioner dripped all night. Quite the disappointment and will probably not choose a Holiday Inn again.

I like this hotel

The property is conveniently located right next to an on-ramp for 90. It was only 15 minutes away from the Elgin sports complex. The building was very clean. The room was very clean. Would stay again if needed to be in the area.

The only reason I did not do a full 5 stars would be the front desk person who checked me in. I was totally thrown off by her telling me I had to have a different photo ID. My Hotel.com (and really every other account I have in my name) is my married name from 2019. My license was renewed in 2017 and I have not bothered to pay to have my name updated on it. To be honest, I didn't even know it was still my "maiden" name. I have checked into many motels, shown it for age, checks, credit cards, other motels, and multiple airport flights and have never been questioned. I know it is a hotel policy that the ID matches the person checking in, but this seemed extra. She said that if I had booked directly with the motel it would not have mattered but since I booked through a 3rd party she had to have it. She did end up giving us a room even thought I could not produce another photo ID. She put us in a double bed room, I had paid extra for a king. I asked for a switch and was given one but not graciously. I had also paid for 2 breakfasts and discovered in the morning I had to have vouchers. The person who I had issues with the night before had not give us any.
