Best Western Plus Elgin - Chicago

This is a very comfortable room in a safe area just off the freeway. As a solo traveler I felt safe and slept well. Nearby downtown West Dundee is an adorable walking town with nice restaurants. I appreciated the free breakfast too. I would stay here again.

The best place I have stayed, bar none! Room was good, pool area good. An extra, had an outdoor walled in area with plenty of seating. Greenery and hanging seats. Also sheltered from the sun/rain, areas. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was par for course. If in area, the place to go.

The rooms are very clean. The staff is polite the surrounding of the building is very beautiful and pleasant. The rooms make you feel like your at home. I would definitely rent again.

Don’t arrive early, wanted to charge a early check in fee, so we waited until 3 , then waited in a line for more than 30 minutes.

I had a 2 night stay at this location. The check in clerk was not very welcoming but seemed a bit like he could have been having a bad day. The room was not cleaned my second day there. I was not in the room all day nor did I have a do not disturb sign out. There was no reason for the cleaning staff not to clean my room. It wasn’t until late afternoon that I asked the front counter for new towels and informed them that my room has not been cleaned that they contacted their cleaning crew to clean my room. The only other issue I had with was breakfast tater tots tasting old and hard. The rest of the breakfast was delicious. Other than these issues, my stay was great.

A shower mat would have been nice, as the shower was a bit slippery.

Staff provided excellent customer service, the pool was good for stretching out in after a long day of work, breakfast was filling, and it's close to river. Bed got a little hot over night, some of the rooms I was in, the AC auto setting needs to be calibrated so that the fan shuts off when the temperature reaches what the guest sets it at and only turns on again when the temperature rises, not constantly running like I had to experience in one of the rooms I stayed in just to maintain what I wanted it at.
