Shutters Hotel

Everything was good, never had a problem with anything I have been staying at this property since 2012 and never been disappointed

Nice hotel. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was normal fare. Had a kitchen, would have been nice if we could have eggs to order or omelet station.

Good stay. Food was good.

We stopped off overnight in Elko, Nevada because it was a halfway point on our vacation. We never expected such a nice hotel in this moderate sized town. Such an attractive building and lobby, friendly staff, a clean and lovely room a terrific breakfast which was included in the extremely reasonable price. Shutters is really a gem!!

Breakfast wasn’t great.. not much for verity and only bacon and eggs for hot choices , has burns or some kind of potato would be good and the coffee was bitter ..we waited 20 minutes for pool towels around 9:15 pm and finally gave up

Everything was what you would expect, clean and as described. The view we had was partly of the roof, but given we had a pet friendly room, I figured we had to make a concession.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, easy check in. Grabbed a drink, burger and fries on arrival. Utah has 2 drink limit and they were very weak, but hit the spot after a long ride. Booked hotel hoping to use hot tub/pool area as a break on long road trip, but large family (15+) with a ton of kids took it over for entire stay, screaming and having fun quite loudly, and back again in the morning. Nice to them all having a blast, but unfortunately oblivious to the concept of sharing, so not great for other guests. Beautiful views from parking lot, where we were stuck hanging out, as nice outside sitting area located just outside glassed in pool area, was also taken over by same large family. We decided to get up early to head to next hotel in Sandy UT where we actually got to enjoy a GREAT pool and hot tub area, wonderfully located OUTSIDE not in. Highly recommend Hyatt House in Sandy Utah!

My experience with Shutters was mostly positive. It was clean with a modern design and nicely furnished. Room included a small refrigerator, microwave and a desk. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good, but the layout a bit awkward and understaffed resulting in delays in keeping stations supplied. I would stay here again.

This place is usually great

This was a very nice clean hotel. Breakfast was good and the orange juice was fresh squeezed which was amazing. Kitchen and front desk staff have lots to do and did great! Would have liked if the burger place inside was open weekends.

Nice place

The restaurant on site is closed on weekends. The pool deck was flooded with no where for the water to drain with the chemicals so high it burned your eyes. The pool temperature was similar to an ice cube that the kids didn’t want to stay in long as they were frozen. You also had to check out pool towels at the front desk (which was great walking dripping down the hallway after swimming), one per person and they were super small. Our room obviously had not seen a vacuum as there were food crumbs and little hair elastics everywhere. The bathroom floor panels were lifting so you had to walk carefully so you didn’t catch your toe walking in and the tub was stained. Our entry door needed to be slammed otherwise it wouldn’t close/lock. The only positive was that the beds were super soft and there was lots of parking.

Excellent breakfast, one of the best I’ve ever had! Room was spacious and clean.

Loved the indoor spa but the pool was very cold and no towels in the pool area. Room was very quiet and clean.

Room was clean, bed comfy, but no hand soap, coffee machine exploded and they told us all of the coffee makers needed to be replaced. Water leak in bathroom but they are renovating and it’s looking great.

Staff is awesome. The breakfast was good but it was better before they just went to bacon and eggs.

The pool was so small and soooo cold. Hot tub also very small. They allowed kids with floating stuff in there that was so big they actually ran my 10 year old granddaughter out of there. 3 full size floating raft was a bit to much. The RV Park guest are allowed to swim up there which is fine if they left the toys were left there. Then you actually had to go up front to get a towel which they didn't tell us in advance. The cafe was closed on the weekends which id really stupid since thats when people are out and about. The continental breakfast was horrible, no choices what so ever. The same thing every day. They could change it up some, maybe sausage hash browns biscuits and grave and some pastries. We will probably not going back there, for the price we paid I'd rather stay somewhere else and have better options. I was also shown something that completely turned off by your hotel. That was that seniors and military was so much higher priced than the average person. That makes absolutely no since to me. Warmer pools better continental breakfast and no float toys in pool. And open pool earlier so adults could go in without kids. Give seniors and military a price break.

Recommend adding shower gel to amenities. Recommend.
