Clarion Hotel By Humboldt Bay

We were passing through Eureka on our way to the Avenue of the Giants in the Redwood National and State Parks. We did not expect the Clarion hotel in this small city to rival a 5 stars hotel of a major city. The staff were friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. The room was spacious, exceptionally clean, everything were in proper working order, and the anemities were second to none. We were impressed and appreciative of such pleasant and comfortable place. If there’s anything that could be improved, then I would say the free breakfast could use a bit of protein such as ham, bacon, or sausages. Other than that, we really liked our stay there.

The room itself was clean, but the area around and outside of the hotel was a bit sketchy. My kids liked the indoor pool. It was okay for one night, but I would probably try to find a different place to stay if I go back to the area.

All in all, this was a good experience in a good property. The entire place is just a bit rundown and needing of updates. The pool was there, but the weight room was abysmal. The room was nice and clean, and the staff was extra friendly and helpful.

Breakfast was decent

I liked the gated parking lot which helped me feel secure. The bathroom had a musty smell, but otherwise the hotel room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The staff was excellent and helpful!

Room was small but manageable. Very clean. The staff went above and beyond excellent. Offered assistance in getting to our room. Were very helpful in directions around town and to nearby attractions. Check in and out were smooth and easy.. Breakfast was fresh, healthy and tasty.

Property is old . Gated entrance is suspect of securityissues. Lots of different people milling around all night making noises. Did not sleep well. Bayside is not to be seen.

Great front counter service. Breakfast can be better if you're here for breakfast you might have to look elsewhere
