I liked the check in process. It was very efficient. When you step into the office a person comes on a screen and basically does a Zoom call with you. The hotel room was clean. Beverly the housekeeper was amazing, super friendly and always there to help if you needed anything. The hotel has super fast WiFi. The Ice machine worked great and the shower was hot and had lot’s of water pressure. There is a Steakhouse and bar right next door that had great food. The minor issues that you might have when you come here are the poles in the parking lot. They are structural components of the hotel so they can’t be removed. You need to be super careful and aware of them when you are parking. You can tell that lots of people have banged into them. I talked to the owner and he said they had painted them multiple colors trying to find a good one and no color ever made a difference. There were a lot of sketchy people around the hotel. It looked like the local homeless people and maybe some drug addicts, but they seemed to be around every hotel in Eureka. I never felt unsafe around them and none of them ever even looked at me. The police seemed to know them all and kept a close eye on them. Just like the beautiful ornate vintage homes in the area it's all part of the charm of Eureka. Overall I like the hotel. Gave 4 stars because they need to figure out a better solution for the poles in the parking lot.

It’s in an “iffy” part of town. I can understand why they use a “virtual” check-in. Fortunately, just a few blocks down it’s not so bad. I did like their “courtyard” above the parking garage. Very unique and cute

There was no desk clerk; was remote from LA. I don't recommend it.
-
Was on crutches and there were stairs to climb.
-
There are no humans on staff at the front desk. Front desk in manned via video with people with heavy accents and directions hard to understand.
-
Okay!
-
Didn't like the unhoused doing drugs next to my car
-
The room was very run down and extremely noisy. The noise throughout the night was too much!
-
What hot tub? Great, well lit garage parking. Too many homeless people hanging around property.
-
This place is old, but not charming. The shower door wouldn't close. But it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The parking was tight, I parked on the street.
-
Very convenient to the waterfront and Humboldt Bay Aquatic center, right on the 101 through old town. Was noisy with a shouting match on one night, but quiet (except for a couple of ambulance sirens) the other three nights. It's in the heart of old town and walking distance to most of old town.

On property staff was nice and helpful. Bed was comfy, linens were nice. Room did have a musty smell. Lots of police activity on a Friday night, but not disturbingly.
-
Was an older motel, but of the 5 hotels and motels that we stayed at on this trip, this is the one that we got the best sleep.
-
The property is well-maintained and very pretty upstairs.
-
Good for a night stand. Really old place.

I will say that the room was extremely clean but dated. They do have long term guest. One of them blasted music all night and first thing in the morning. Saw one room having a lot of traffic and sells happening at the door and out of the bathroom window. That was the first night, I did say something to staff. The second night no load music. But the people in the room that had visitors decided to get in a screaming match, that lasted over three hours. Upon checking out I was informed by staff that the issues I brought up have been on going and that management is constantly talking to them. Management you should probably kick them out. I personally would not stay there again. I travel for work 6 months out of the year and have stayed in a lot of budget friendly motels. This by fair is my top three of never going back. In other words, stay at your own risk.

Did not like the video chat check in process.

So the Hotel is old but it's clean, professional services, safe parking, and the greatest of all is a safe place to stay.
