I’m not sure but I think I’m allergic to the bedding, or maybe what it was washed with. I itched all over most of the night and when I finally did fall asleep, I woke up and my whole face was swollen and puffy. Also, there was an old used coffee pack in the coffee pot. The staff was super friendly, but talking to the computer person instead of the actual real life person was a little weird and sometimes hard to understand.

It was great

Big frig and you can cook. Short walk to old town. Bed was fine. I like this place when I am shut out of Arcata.

Pretty clean room with kitchenette. Poor water pressure in shower with lots of time needed to get hot water. Air conditioner was a little loud. Best part: the comfiest bed!

The room was superclean. Everything was brand new. They had a kitchenette that was convenient. It was a really nice room The attendants were nice. They did have a virtual check in, which was kind of weird for me. It was a guy on a computer screen. But they also had a young lady come out to the desk which was better for me.

Clean, well equipped, kitchenware available upon request Quite noisy and the location was not really great

Price was great, big refrigerator with freezer, room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Not the best area.

The family who run the lodge is very nice and very helpful. Room was a good size, really clean, modern and well laid out. The bed was comfortable. Location is good and near a ton of restaurants. Eureka is a bit rough around the edges but it has its own charm. Lots of counter culture - artists, musicians, hippies, punk rockers which makes it a vibrant community with friendly people. The old town area is really cool.

Parking is a bit limited. The rooms are clean and recently remodeled. The front office staff was helpful. The hotel is very close to downtown (within a minute walking distance) and close to several food establishments.

Do not stay here. The door to the room did not shut tight—you could see in/out between the door and the frame. The manager said because the locks worked that it shouldn’t be an issue. We were in a room on the second floor and the manager offered to move us to the first floor—I refused because the first floor is statistically less safe than the second. The motel is about 3 blocks from a men’s shelter—there were people outside the a motel all day and night, yelling and talking to themselves. We did not feel safe and our plans to walk about were not possible—the only time spent outside was getting to and from the room to our car. The managers response to this was that he and his staff live there, so I was being ridiculous. The bathroom window was missing a screen. The room was decently clean, but the bathroom looked like my teenager had cleaned it. They did not supply any items for the kitchenette—said you have to call the office and tell them exactly what you need.
