Nothing at all. Upon arrival at Travelodge I received a barrage of verbal abuse from a guest who was staying on the upper floor, something to the effect of “get out of here!” Along with a lot of intimidation, swearing and stare downs. I walked to the check in desk and expressed concern about the abusive guest, to which the staff member shrugged and said it was probably just a mental health issue. I checked in and the key he gave me was the room right next to the abusive guest. The room on the other side of mine had a woman sitting in her doorway rocking back and forth, likely high on something. I walked in to my room, pulled back the covers on the bed to check for bugs, the room was surprisingly clean. After about 5 minutes in the room listening to a whole lot of yelling and commotion from my neighboring guests outside, I decided this wasn’t going to be suitable to get some decent rest. Exhausted from a day of driving, I went back downstairs to check out and asked for my money back. The staff member looked puzzled and finally agreed to take my key back after attempting to convince me that I was overreacting. He told me to wait here, while he ran up to the room to “check if it was used”. He saw that I had pull the bed covers back and refused to give a refund. He also failed to check me out, and let the booking elapse and check out the following day. To be clear, I DID NOT STAY that night, I drove to the next town. Avoid this place at all costs.

We have stayed at this Travelodge a number of times and the rooms are always very clean. The rooms are also upgraded and very comfortable. Parking is free and abundant. Short walk to historic downtown Eureka. There is no breakfast. The area around the hotel seems safe but can look a little sketchy

Easy access right off of highway 101 Since there was a taco trailer in the parking lot. That made for lots of traffic in and out.

I liked the handicapped parking. The property needed a lot of maintenance and repairs. No air conditioning provided in the rooms. When I spoke with the front desk I was offered an apology. But they couldn’t provide a fan because they didn’t have any more. I was told to open the windows. When I did open the windows I found out that the screens were broken and ready to fall off.
