Great location. Beautiful views.

The place was way over rated!

The building was under restoration, but very clean!! The room could have used a fan for the night time, as it was a bit warm.
-
Great place for atmosphere. The host was great and we enjoyed ourselves.
-
Very comfortable for solo travel. It felt safe and welcoming. Good location and great historical venue.

Most of the property is closed off. Only the kitchen and guest rooms were accessible. There was no sense of experiencing a Victorian home Towels and other amenities were below par

This is a very unique and special old mansion turned into a beautiful hotel. It was so fun and exciting staying in a place so full of history!

Great experience here. The innkeepers were lovely and the room was very comfortable.

Our 24th anniversary was well spent. Thank you for the wonderful memories.

Upon arrival after travelling eight hours, we were greeted by a voice on the ring button, advising us that he had only one room available rather than the two we had booked and paid for. Mario proceeded to advise us that he couldn't help us and that it was Booking.com's fault and that we could probably find rooms in the town. No apology or help to help us find lodgings. Luckily we walked and found the Carter House Inn where they accommodated us with better rooms, free parking and free breakfast. Definitely, book with the Carter House Inn!

Absolutely charming and accommodating!

This is a beautiful, historic, and absolutely lovely property! It is transitioning to have breakfast and other food amenities. Because this is a historic house, there are no bathrooms in the bedrooms. It is set up nicely with three well equipped bathrooms to share. Additionally, the carpets are very nice, but you must remove your shoes in order to walk into your bedroom. The beds were absolutely comfortable. The rooms were spacious. The television did not work. The staff was very helpful, but off site. When it gets fully developed, it will be fabulous.

Nicely updated - pretty rooms Sketchy people hanging around outside. Didn’t receive the specific room I booked.

A lot of restaurants to eat around this property

The room and bathrooms were clean and the king size bed was very comfortable. My daughter and I walked to the bay and walked along the water one evening. It's a beautiful historical mansion!

I can't imagine anywhere else I'd rather stay in Eureka, CA. So close to everything that I'd want to experience or see in this wonderful town. All 3 nights were perfect for us, our host was delightful and the ambiance inside was breathtaking. We were in town to see the Redwood Forest to the North and South from here, and it was such a welcome contrast and definitely added to our romantic getaway. The next time we visit the Redwood Forest, this will be our first option for our stay!

Be aware of the no shoe policy in the house and the lack of private baths. It really feels more like an Air B&B. Still it was a nice room to come back to every night and unique experience.

Property is beautiful and historic. Owner was very knowledgeable and informative about the house and neighborhood. But there were so many rules we felt uncomfortable staying there and afraid to touch anything.
