Parking lot is now a truck stop so don't get a room on the parking lot side, you get to listen to big rigs beeping & warming up.

Love this hotel. We stay here every year. Even though they have a lot of tour buses that come through it's so quiet.

The overall cleanliness was ok, but not great. Dirt in corners, spiders, and things hanging from the ceiling tiles. The locking on one of the sliding doors was broken and took some work to secure the door. The outside doors (bottom floor were all unlocked when we entered the room and it was a little unnerving. The staff was kind and friendly to us. Breakfast was the barest minimum but was appreciated. The real issue for us was the overpowering smell of marijuana. The smells were so bad one night that we couldn't escape it, and had to sleep with blankets over our heads. We would not stay at this location again.

Broken elevator and no help carrying luggage up stairs, musty smell, broken TV, had to change rooms after already unpacking. Moved to an even mustier room which was located next to the ice machine and elevator, it was so noisy it sounded like people were in our room, water in shower smelled so bad it was disgusting and water pooled unless dirty plug was taken completely out. I understand that sometimes things go wrong but this was crazy. We usually stay here when passing through but I think from now on we'll look elsewhere

The only qualm I have about staying here is that the water heater is frankly abysmal. This is not the first time that, not even hot, simply warm water only lasts about 2 minutes before it feels like I'm trying to shower in a northern california stream up on the mountain. I'm over in Humboldt monthly for work, and I only stay here if my regular spots are all booked up simply because of having to shower cold. The staff is always kind and friendly, the location is good right off the highway and in the downtown area close to restaurants, and in general the rooms are fine! So... to summarize, overall the hotel is fine and the staff is kind, but it's likely you'll have cold water to shower or wash your face with.

The breakfast was very poor the eggs looked and unfortunately tasted like cardboard. The staff was not helpful 😒.

Place is really run down and needs a serious make over. We were orginally offered a room that had a sliding glass door with no way to lock it. It looked like it had been slopply rigged by slightly welding a metal dish towel are.

It was clean and a very comfortable stay.
-
Clean and special room, breakfast is good and easy parking.
-
Basic and easy access place for stay, great staff!
-
Pool is not heated
-
It's an older hotel that could use a little updating.
-
Safe and fairly comfortable It was advertised as a resort and more like a roadside campground facility
-
Pool was closed due to heater not working
-
It’s going down out bathroom was falling apart. But the options in this town alone is scarce
-
Friendly staff and close to shopping

Good location No hot water at night, very thin blankets, key didn't work one time. Regarding lack of hot water, I did call the desk and they apologized but there was nothing they could do because the late hour, which is understandable. I had to let the taps run for about ten minutes to get even warm water - and I didn't get hot water at all until the next morning, which was too late for my purposes. The room also has only 1 very thin comforter (if it can be called that) and so it was pretty cold. I don't like sleeping with heat on, and there is no thermostat, so it was just overall not a comfortable stay and I would not stay again. The breakfast room could also possibly cause a person to become existentially depressed.

Did not eat in restaurant

Rooms were big clean and vintage Ice machine wasn’t working properly and the continental free breakfast was a little undesirable

I love Red Lion Hotel. I feel safe, welcomed, i like everything about it today the only thing i didn't like was that the card(key) wasn't really working, the ice maker wasn't working on my floor so had to go the the other floor and it still didn't work. So went to the lobby to get ice. But overall i like it 10/10 family welcomed.
