Candlewood Suites Washington-Fairfax by IHG

The room was clean and had everything you needed. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They have plenty of parking.

Very quiet and centrally located. The hotel is old, but clean. The staff is excellent and will help you with anything. The bed was perfect! It just needs some updating as the shower faucet was hard to use as pulling up on the rod to switch it from the tub spigot to the shower was hard and it leaked. There was black moldy spots in shower calk. Just old, but overall a pleasant stay.

The man on the front desk was very nice and helpful. I checked in around 12:30 am after being stranded at the airport. There is no restaurant on site, no lounge area, a really well equipped gym. The in-suite kitchen was poorly equipped and there is a room supplying a variety of snacks to purchase as well as complimentary coffee. Both times I tried to access the coffee it was unavailable. The a/c unit was efficient but quite loud and it continously cycled on and off every 5 minutes or so.

Front desk staff was friendly and made the check in experience great. The room was clean and comfortable. Overall my experience was very good

Staff was not that great on check-in or during stay. Good work center with 2 computers and printer/scanner. Good location in Fairfax. Close to main roads, I-66, Fairfax Corner shopping, etc.

Everything was fantastic second time at the hotel I usually stay a week a month. Highly recommend.

It is quiet. The room was lovely, quiet, comfortable. I will go back there and recommend them to others.

The hotel smelled of pet urine and marijuana. I had to take my clothes out of my room because I smelled like marijuana when I went into work while I was there. My toilet overflowed one evening, Waterfield, the bathroom and into the kitchen area they sent maintenance. He cleaned up the water with the towels from my room, but there was sanitizing the area. I was literally walking on floors that had sewage on it. I had to go to the front desk to get a mop and mop it myself because they stated they didn’t have housekeeping that late at night. They only cleaned the rooms once every seven days which I found very shocking in an extended stay. I’m used to every three days so overall, I will never go back there. I would never recommend it. I ended up actually leaving a day early because I didn’t want to stay there another night..

Definitely a mid to low-grade hotel. But very much affordable.

Great price and location, loved having a kitchen in the suite. My bath linens were not clean and neither was the tub. There were strands of hair in and around the tub. And I also had strands of hair attached to my towel that I thought was clean. The room had a weird smell to it that over time went away.

I wish the room, in particular the bathroom, was cleaner. Were are nice.

I stayed at Candlewood Suites for 10 days and had a really good experience overall. The suite was roomy and having a kitchenette plus a sofa bed made the stay super comfortable. Parking was easy, and I liked having access to the fitness room and self-service laundry. The place was quiet and convenient, and I didn’t run into any issues during my stay. Only small thing was you could sometimes smell cooking when walking in the hallway besides some of the furniture need paint toch-up but it wasn’t a big deal.
