Our second night, the fire alarm went off at about 11:00 PM and we were outside the building until 1:30. Many fire trucks and emergency vehicles appeared and we could view smoke rising from our end of the building but there was no official information shared with the guests while we waited. The general manager did not interact with guests at all unless asked a question directly, and even then she communicated very little. No apologies for the inconvenience or informational updates. To the hotel's credit, the following day we found, left in our room, a letter from management along with a bottle of French wine and little box of Ben and Bill's chocolate truffles and we were refunded the cost for that night's stay, along with an offer of a 20% discount on our next stay. We thought that was quite fair. Our first morning, we ate breakfast at Persy's, right on the site. It was convenient to the hotel but there are much better places within walking distance of the Inn to get much better prepared food. The decaf coffee at Percy's was almost undrinkable. The Inn is under new ownership. We wish them well and look forward to seeing what they do with the Inn in the future.

It was the perfect experience for our first time at Martha’s Vineyard. The staff were amazing in the hotel was exceptional would highly recommend.

Our bathroom was very dirty. Stains on the floor and hair in the tub.. pubic hair to be more specific. The floor was so dirty. The staff however was very nice and helpful.

Very clean room. Helpful staff. Pool is clean but always too cold to swim in. Walkable location

The room itself was cool and the bed was comfortable, but the pillows were a major disappointment. There were five pillows on the bed, yet they were the smallest pillows I've ever seen. They appeared to be feather-filled, so they completely flattened when you put your head on them, providing virtually no support. Please consider upgrading to larger, higher-quality pillows—something as simple as king-size pillows would make a huge difference. The room is also in need of updating. The bathroom floor had noticeable stains that made it appear dirty, even if it had been cleaned. Overall, the accommodations felt dated and did not reflect the premium price being charged. If this room had been $189 a night, I probably wouldn't be writing this review. At more than $400, however, the value simply wasn't there. The location is excellent, but the room and amenities did not justify the price. This version will likely carry more weight with management because it sounds measured and credible rather than purely emotional.

Our room was perfect for a comfortable night’s rest—clean, cozy, and well maintained. Even though our stay was brief, we found everything we needed to relax and recharge. The location is another highlight. Inn on the Square is conveniently located near Main Street, making it an easy walk to shops, restaurants, and other attractions in downtown Falmouth. Overall, Inn on the Square is a great choice if you’re looking for a comfortable stay, friendly service, and a convenient location while visiting Cape Cod.

Didn’t have best experience here. As an older woman traveling alone, they placed me in the cottage which was in the back of the parking lot, somewhat isolated, dingy, dark, musty, dusty and had approx 10 steep steps I had to drag my luggage up. The door and walls were thin. The handle lock didn’t stay in place and was loose. The pillowcases looked crumpled as if they didn’t change the sheets and there was stains on the pillowcase. The bathtub was yellowed. It smelled of mildew. The bathroom fixtures were old and chipped. Everything about it was skeevy and in desperate need of a deep clean and update. I called the front desk and asked to be moved to the main building and was told they were booked ( on a Sunday night in early June before school was out in MA?) I questioned them and was put on hold for 17 minutes during which I walked back to the front desk, on hold, and was finally told I could move to the main building - which was just as musty, dusty and in need of updates as the other room. They have very little staff and were still cleaning at 6:30 at night. I slept there, unwell, a I could hear my. Neighbors snoring, peeing, showering and fighting. I used the sink and toilet only and promptly left the next day. And the front desk people had the personalities of wood. Minimal effort was their best. Never again. Do not recommend.

This was a great spot for our family of 2 adults and 1 toddler. The room was on the smaller side but we had a private patio with a table and chairs that was a surprise perk that was great for after the toddler went to bed.

Lack of water pressure in the shower

Nice quick stay at Inn on the Square. Great location convenient to main street shops & restaurants, as well as the ferry shuttle.
-
Beautifully maintained property with lots of quaint outdoor areas. Within Walking distance to everything.
-
Easy access to our room. Lots of extra towels in the bathroom. Short walk to area dining establishments.

We arrived at 5:30 pm and our room was still not ready. We were told that they were under new management as of the day we checked in. They were also not able to provide us with a key upon check-in so when we returned from dinner we had to walk all around the building to the front entrance to get into our room (without a key the other entrances were not accessible). We feel that we should not be charged the additional "facilities fee" for the inconveniences.

Very professional staff; nice location.
-
Centrally located, clean, very helpful and friendly staff!! Everything was great!

The room smelled like mildew and there were layers of dust on top of the bed frames. I was not impressed. A room next to us was open all day and night with no one inside, which made me believe staff was not very attendant. There is no hot tub in the pool and the breakfast spot that is attached is not good. Do not recommend.

Enjoyed our stay!

We had a pretty good 4 night stay here. They put us in the cottage building which looked like it was pretty newly renovated. Everything was for the most part clean and well maintained. Not sure I would stay here again but the location is about as good as you’re going to get in Falmouth. Pool was very nice and the price was great! Few minor things could be improved. Very dark and little lighting. It was on the main street so noisy and room service/cleaning was overworked and late most days getting to our room.

It was a good place.
