Holiday Inn Express Fargo SW - I-94 Medical Center by IHG

Great location with lots of shopping and food nearby. 10 min to Fargo dome. Room and hotel was fine. Only issue was upon check in we were informed there was no hot water. Upon checkout we were offered 30% discount due to issue. Took a bit of effort to get discount after the fact but they did eventually give me the credit.

Staff was very friendly. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable.

% discount for that. I managed to only get a $25 dollar coupon from Expedia, nothing from the Hotel. However, my rating does reflect that the staff was able to retain a lost item we had and we retrieved it a few days later as we happened to be coming back through Fargo on our round trip to Bismark. Many thanks for hanging safely onto the item for us.

Clean room, nice staff, and close to Restaurants. The only complaint was, the hot water heater was broken our entire 3day weekend.

No hot water, When we checked in they said there was no hot water, I asked if they would discount our stay and they said yes the would, At check out they said no discount because we pre paid, Not happy.

Only problem was we didn’t have hot water our entire two night stay. They did compensate us but a major hassle I wouldn’t expect at an IHG hotel.

When we try to use the phone call the desk. It was busy all the time. We had to use our mobile phone, our cell phone to get a hold of the desk. We are told we get service cleaning service every other day put it amount to empty the garbage cans and give us different towels

Clean room and good breakfast

Only thing was the rooms were soooo humid! Floor and bedding felt damp.

Hotel staff did not supply enough breakfast for a full hotel. Labor Day weekend and people waiting 45min before closing time and they were still yelling at customers that too late to eat. At least 40 people waiting. Charged card twice after booking ?

The breakfast selection is as limited and they ran out of food. The rooms need to be updated, the sleeper couch was so old we couldn’t use it had to ask for a cot which we had to go get ourselves from reception.

I will probably NEVER stay there again. It LOOKS great, until you get your room key and go to the room (327). To start with, I had to basically use my shoulder to open the door, even after the lock was released. I pulled my bag into the room, turned on the lights and went into the bathroom immediately (what I do any time I check into a motel). The floor in the shower was dirty with mold in several places around the perimeter. Seeing that, I started looking for what else was wrong. The sink was very slow to drain and the overflow opening in the front of the sink could certainly use a cleaning. I went downstairs and said I wanted another room, and guess what. I was told that was not possible because the facility was sold out. Imagine that. So, it was late, and I was tired, so I went back upstairs. The room door had not closed, as I had not pulled it shut. I went back inside, and the bathroom door will not close without force either! The stuffed chair in the room is very visibly damaged (torn) and not clean. The vent in the bathroom needs to be cleaned, the exterior of the wall next to the shower door opening has been damaged but not repaired for a LONG time, The bedding was damp (really great to lie down on/in to sleep! And I damn near fell when I stepped into the shower this morning, as the floor was slippery. A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. I took pictures too. Oh, by the way, there is damage in the hall next to the elevator door. I WILL NOT BE BACK! YOU CAN COUNT ON THAT!

Front desk person wasn’t friendly. The room was ok . Not enough towels. Breakfast was fair.

I stayed there 2 nights, each morning breakfast was out of eggs at 8:15am. No 2% milk available. I was told eggs would be replenished. There were lot's of people there for breakfast and overheard complaints. By 8:45 am no eggs and not certain ever made.

Access, was easy to get to off I-94 and several restaurants, fuel availability and stores. Good parking and breakfast was good with some variety. No coffee maker in room was a downer. No microwave in the room. The reefer was without a freezer section. This last item is really discouraging. So many people today travel with coolers and reusable freezer packs. Not being able refreeze is a problem especially if one carries meds that must be kept cold.
