Baymont by Wyndham Fort Stockton

The outside is deceiving. It looks a bit rundown outside, but the rooms are very big, clean, and the AC is nice and quiet. I've stayed here about 10 times on my move from CA to TX. Pet friendly and has parking for large trailers.

Location I booked a king room, was given a double queen. About 30 minutes into the stay the fire alarm started going off. I called the front desk while the alarm was blaring, I was told someone was coming right over. The alarm would go off for a couple minutes then stop, then start again. Over and over. No one ever showed up. It finally stopped after about 45 minutes and we called the front desk, updated them that the place had not burned down, we got a quick thank you. Not impressed with the cleanliness but for the price I paid, I get what I get.

We are moving from CA to TX , and this is one of our stops. There is always plenty of parking for trailers, and the rooms are always clean. My only complaint is that in the 8 times we have stayed there, they never have a ground floor riom available.

Breakfast included a waffle bar which was delicious. The room was clean and had a spacious bathroom. They had a dog relief area with poop bags.

It was a good value for the money. Clean and easy to access once you figured out how to get into the parking lot. They turned our key off 3 hours before we checked out. I couldn't help my husband load the car. We got in at 2 am and by 8am key to the room doesn't work!

The location The continental breakfast. Just cereal, waffles, yogurt or fruit on Monday morning. What happened to all the other options from the weekend? And the carpet in there was filthy the whole weekend!! No one vacuumed or clean tables ALL weekend!!!

Our stay was very poor to say the least. The worst was from the young lady who checked us in. After we got to our room we called her on the room phone to ask where the ice machine was located. Her response was that we should go to a gas station and purchase some bags of ice. When I stated I did not ask her that she blurted out that the machine was in the middle of the building. There are three separate building. When I asked why she was being so rude she hung up on me. When I tried to put the TV on I found it would not work. Rather than phone the front desk for another rude encounter with the young lady I checked for the problem myself because of my electronic back round. I found that the HDMI cable from the cable box was not properly installed. I rectified the problem on my own. The young lady at the front desk seemed bothered by us checking in. She was curt and very unclear with directions to our room and where the breakfast area was located. It was clear she did not want to be doing the work she was doing. We would not return tot his hotel based on this person and the condition of the room.

Good deal for the price.

Front desk staff was very kind. Room was nice for the price, bedroom looked good but tub seemed well-used. Did not get a chance to try the breakfast but was happy that it was offered.

At check-in, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately my key wasn’t working at the room so I had to walk back across the parking lot to get it fixed. The room was just okay. Nothing fancy whatsoever. Bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was not even worth the effort.
