DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Galveston Beach

The mattresses were not queen sized as advertised and didn’t fit the bed. There were gaps on each side from the mattresses being too small. After we checked out, they tried to run my card and wouldn’t tell me why. They stopped responding and took more money out 6 days after check out.

This hotel is in serious need of repairs and better housekeeping. For the price we paid, the condition of the property was unacceptable. I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it to others. Please save your money go elsewhere.

This hotel is not up to the Hilton standards the main elevator has been broken for two years found out after speaking with staff, the glass door to the pool is shattered and unsafe also the door to my room would not shut properly had to slam it ! They should disclose this on the website Prior to booking not just surprise you!

Clear and very nice staff

One elevator for the entire 5 floor property which is incredibly slow on top of that the $20+ breakfast is a joke I've had better at other 2 star hotels hotel staff was helpful restaurant staff not so much there pool is very nice though and the pool side bar staff is great overall not a terrible place but they definitely don't earn that 3 star hotel rating property needs a lot of maintenance

Location Balcony/ Nightly parking charge.

The room was very dated and was small. The balcony was very hot to sit on when the air conditioning would turn on. We had breakfast in the restaurant in the lobby. They did not have much to choose from since the food was not being replenished for the cost it seemed very overpriced as was the room. I was charged a 200-dollar incidental fee which I have not seen taken off of my account. The location was good.

This is no longer a Hilton property and is under new ownership and it shows. The pool was dirty and had mold around the stair area entrance to the water, which could cause someone to slip and fall. Speakers and tv's around the swim up bar did not work. However our bartenders were awesome so we just used our phones. Also there were no water bottles provided in rooms that cost us over $235 a night and on our first morning waking up we had a small roach climb over the covers while my husband was still sleeping. Also housekeeping never cleaned our room and maintenance workers propped stairway doors from parking lots open with rocks, which causes a saftey issue.

The hotel is a bit old, but the pool with the bar makes up for it. The staff is super helpful and the beach is only a few steps away.

The location was directly across from the beach and not too far from restaurants. The beds were very comfortable. When we checked in we were not given pool passes, cookies or a car tag.. We noticed other guests the following day getting these things + information. The area around the pool looked moldy and the elevator smelled bad.

Everything was clean just be prepared to pay parking fees each day.

I’ve stayed at this location on 3 different occasions over the past several years and I’ve always been very happy each time. I particularly enjoy the pool bar(Longboards). The bartender, Tyler, was great; very friendly and personable, and great service. I definitely plan on making future stays.

The view from the room was wonderful. The room was outdated. The dresser was broken and wear and tear in the bathroom. Also it looked like someone let their dog poop in the balcony and it was shoved in a corner.

I would like to express my disappointment regarding my recent stay. My room had a water leak that caused water to accumulate on the floor. I reported the issue and requested a room change, but no assistance was provided. On the first day, staff only cleaned the water, but the same problem occurred again the following night. I had planned to extend my stay for an additional two days; however, due to the ongoing issue and the lack of support in resolving it, I decided to check out instead. I hope you will review this matter and take appropriate steps to improve the experience for future guests.

I was very disappointed with the lack of service and the failure to follow through on what I was promised. Based on this experience, I would not recommend staying here and will not be returning.
