mosquitos in room; otherwise, great

We found this last minute. It is a redone hotel from the 1960’s and absolutely adorable. They did a great job keeping the aesthetics up, with modern amenities. That being said, our air conditioner went out and the staff did notify us by text when it occurred and kept us informed, however, it still was not completely repaired before checkout. They made it right refunding part of our stay. The rooftop bar seemed like a very popular spot and the music sounded amazing. Our only complaint is the parking, it it horrendous and there is no way to know who is a guest and who is not, parking on the backside of the hotel is not the best option. The location is great being on the Seawall, but was a bit further east than we thought, so somewhat far from everything.

For some reason the TV turns back on a few hours after you turn it off, so woke me up at night several times. Otherwise nice place.

Charming quirky hotel. Front desk staff were amazing. The only negatives were the rooms have very low lighting. The only decent light was in the bathroom. Also, a chair would have been appreciated. The only place to sit was on the bed.

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Lucine! The hotel and amenities were clean, well-maintained, and very relaxing. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming throughout our stay. Such a nice place to unwind and enjoy Galveston. Would definitely stay here again! 🤍✨

The pool and inner courtyard, interior design of place were super cool. Breakfast tacos good. Initial room offered was ground floor end of open corridor with no view, light. On request was moved upstairs. Balcony rooms looked good. As no kettle in room, perhaps offer complimentary breakfast tea too, only coffee available.

Cool mid-century vibe. Pool temp was perfect.

The hotel was nice. There is no elevator and I am handicapped but was put in an upstairs room. I saw other handicapped people who were also on the second floor. Parking is awful, especially on the weekends. My suggestion if you have a good parking space, Uber to your destinations. The roof top bar is loud on the weekends so if you are close to it there is no relief until 10:30. The room was nice but for the cost, other options would be better.

Great location, fantastic staff and a cool retro style hotel. Comfortable bed, large walk-in shower, and quiet room.
-
It was cute and had a view of the ocean from the rooftop There was not a hot tub or jacuzzi. The hotel bar closed at 11 pm Saturday night.

The staff was amazing and the location is perfect.

The vibe of Hotel Lucine is exactly what I was looking for - mid 20th century, beach front. Quaint setting. Friendly, helpful staff. Coffee bar and fruit-infused water in the lobby on a small, intimate scale. Quiet, relaxing during the week, but on the weekend, the rooftop bar fired up with live music amidst the sea breezes and the full, orange moon. We truly felt immersed. I can find a large, chain hotel anywhere, but this one really says "Galveston".

Parking needs space so not to park on main drag but did make entering the hotel easy. Very nice pleasant experience! Great view of the Gulf!

Loved! Will be back soon

The place needs a coat of paint and sprucing up. Furniture in the public areas is worn and couch cushions in the rooftop bar area were torn with the inserts showing. There were no waitstaff or bartenders for the rooftop bar so customers had to go up & downstairs to serve themselves. The handle for the shower in our room was not assembled and required us to attach it before use. There was mold on the time behind the shampoo & bodywash dispensers. A trash can near the pool was spotted with rust stains and the water dispensers were mainly depleted with no ice. Things were just not in line with what was advertised on the hotel website and well below expectations.

Everything was great while I stayed for 3 nights. I took my dog and they were very accommodating. Of course there is a daily pet fee but it’s not through the roof. I can’t wait to come back for another staycation.

This hotel is nice. I loved that it was walking distance from beach just walk across the street and your there. The pool at the hotel was nice and the atmosphere was great as well. It was also a plus that they had restaurant you can walk to.

We always come for the great music. I love the amazing environment and atmosphere. It is so chic and puts you back in a different time. You do not feel like you are in Houston at all. It’s such a great boutique property and now they offer the beach chairs definitely come check it out and stay for the music.
