Surf Motel and Apartments

Everything it's ok, simple but enough for enjoy

Now it is not a 5 star place but you can tell they have invested into the property. We really enjoyed the room and it brought us memories of the beginning of our marriage where money was tight and you rented what you could afford and you thought it was great. If you are looking for super nice pass. It was clean there was plenty of soaps and shampoos. It has charm. It is close to two little bars and on the sea wall. The bed was comfortable, and the front desk was very nice. Do note I do not know if all units are three flights of stairs up, but ours was.

I had the worst experience in this motel. When I checked in on the day of my reservation the room they gave me had a broken door frame so the door wouldn't close. They didn't have another room available so they told me that they were going to cancel it and give me a refund within 3 business days. I have contacted expedia 4 times and the motel doesn't want to issue a refund. I called the motel and they won't issue a refund they want expedia to give me a refund. This motel looks dirty and old. The rooms are so small and the ceiling is about 7 feet high. In my opinion, it shouldn't be an option thru any booking website. I would not use their services again.

The staff was friendly, and while the place is a bit dated, it was clean and a great value for the money.

The owners and the staff that work here are the absolute sweetest! I arrived early due to an overnight flight, and when I asked if they could store my luggage until check-in time, they let me check-in early! I was so grateful because I was exhausted. The room was clean and conveniently located right across the street from Porretto Beach. The air conditioning was a freak and kept me nice and cool during the humid days. The shower pressure was great! Loved that this property had a fridge and microwave in the unit. It’s an older motel and it could use some upgrades, but it was clean, comfortable, and suitable for my stay. The staff was wonderful here! I felt very welcomed and safe. Would definitely stay here again during a future trip to Galveston.

Has refrigerator, TV, AC, shower, card reader works well, great location, close live band in weekend, parking pretty available generally.

The pictures of the property are very misleading. The rooms are in an alley and there's no parking. The rooms are cheap and smell terrible. The beach is right across the street. The only good thing. There are people who seem to live there and some of them seem questionable. Do not take your family to this hotel. The bathroom is the size of a closet. I will never make this mistake again. Very over priced!!!

The hotel is older. But our room was very clean. The staff were very helpful. This place is steps away from places to eat & a short walk to beach.

The Diamonds old west was like being in Jessy James time nice cabins fun things for kids each cabin had a different names like undertaker, sheriff, bank and more I would recommend this place and I'll be coming back

The room can use a cloth rack to hang your cloth and hot water
