The Mansion on 17th

We unfortunately had to reschedule our visit three times due to my husband's health. The Mansion were very kind and understanding to make the changes and we finally got there in September. I loved being in a period house on the Island as it set the mood for our stay. Thinking back on how they had to manage made us feel grateful for the wonderful accomodations we had during our stay. Being so close to the beach, downtown and the piers was good as it was easy access to those Galveston treasures. Thank you for a wonderful stay. All the staff were so ready to assist and kind to fulfill our requests. There was nothing to improve, we had a wonderful visit and thank you for working with us to get us to finally stay with you.

The cocktail hour and breakfast were great.

It is a beautiful historic home in a residential neighborhood with many awesome gingerbread houses. The staff was amazing. Our room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. We liked having a balcony to sit on in the evening. The daily happy hour and breakfasts were great as well. We had trouble using the TV remote-probably user error! Had to get used to the A/C unit—it could be a little noisy at times.

Great place for a weekend stay

Everything. This is our 3rd time to stay here.

This is a great B&B, we would stay again, but not in suite 4. It is much too small.

Our stay was awesome, we were welcomed as soon as we arrived. The building is over 100 years old and is a gorgeous representation of a mansion from that time period. We were given a brief history of the property. Our room was really nice. The complimentary social hour and breakfast was pleasant. Breakfast was good. I would absolutely stay here again.

Wonderful place to stay. Easy check in, great parking, great location to easily walk to The Strand and various restaurants. Room was excellent and staff was very friendly and helpful.

Another excellent stay at Mansion on 17th Street. Staff is wonderful and very helpful and very willing to work with you on any issues, requests or scheduling questions. Parking is superb and close. Great location and easy to walk to The Strand, Fisherman's Wharf, Katies Seafood and Hearsay on the Strand.

Gorgeous interior. Bedroom large, very comfy bed, nice shower. Tea etc available. The tv came on and we could not shut it off . The quiche at breakfast had a ton of salt in it, probably a mistake

Cute Victorian mansion. Large rooms. Happy hour with free cocktails! 🍹 ❤️ our host got us drunk 😋

Staff was very friendly and gave advice on the local restaurants! We had fun at the social hour in the evening. Morning breakfast was very good. Great place and people!

Love this Bed and Breakfast

We were lucking forward to the Galveston eggs Benedict. However, they ran out of crab. We had the scrambled eggs and they were very dry. The next morning, we chose to eat out instead.
