The ocean view was awesome-best I have had. Hard for this stiff 84 year-old to go up and down the stairs to room but would not have had the great view on the ground floor.

The pool was amazing to have with the beach so close. The combo is elite! Woke up to the most amazing view! At night it's so peaceful. You can hear the ocean from your front door! The staff at the front desk was so sweet and accommodating! Not to mention quick!! Breakfast was great! The quality wasn't perfect but the ladies serving made it an amazing experience! So many options for breakfast as well! They treated me and my children with such love and kindness! We will be booking again soon! It was great! The restaurant that's attached is a little pricey but the drinks by the pool were great despite the price! We ended up spending 60$ on 4 drinks. So definitely be ready to spend a pretty penny there but honestly it didn't bother us at all! Still enjoyed our time!

I had an amazing visit! The experience was wonderful from start to finish. I truly enjoyed my time there, and I would definitely recommend Sewell to everyone. It’s a great place to visit with your family and friends, make memories, and enjoy a great experience together. I can’t wait to visit again! ❤️

We stay here when in Galveston. We enjoy the pool, the pool bar & all the local restaurants and bars close by. We truly enjoy the view of the gulf and sound of the waves. Very relaxing place for a little getaway. The only thing I say that could be better has nothing to do with the facility itself. I just wish people would be a bit more mindful of children and the level of their voices.

Loved the atmosphere and the view of the beach. Facility is old and the pool area wasn't super clean. There were bird feathers and droppings all over the furniture and in the pool.

The rooms were quaint and had lots of character The bathtub definitely needs a non-slip mat. It was very slippery and could easily cause someone to slip and fall, especially a senior. There also need to be grab bars in the tub for added safety. The mattress was sunken in and uncomfortable, and the AC did not work properly. It would shut off in the middle of the night, making it difficult to stay comfortable. Another big downside was allowing smoking outside on the patios. When people in the room next door are smoking, the smoke carries right over and makes it impossible to sit outside and enjoy your own patio. These are definitely areas that could use improvement.

the appartment was very big, clean and comfortable The breakfast was awful, the first morning the lady serving had a mouthfull of food and was eating what was being served, you couldnt 'see' the hot food that was on offer, bit like queuing up for school dinners, and the food was cold,this put us off and we didnt eat there again. If you want a peaceful time avoid the weekends, as the pool and bar is accessibale by non residents the weekends were full of people eating and swimming around the pool and not clearing up after themselves
