Residence Inn by Marriott Galveston Island

The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. They do have some nice amenities and a decent breakfast that is included. I did think the rooms were a tad Small, but that being said there was a kitchen and a small living room included. My biggest complaint was the hotel charged us for the parking lot. We were there a week, and they charged fifteen Dollars a day to park in their parking lot when you're a customer.

This was a very nice hotel, really close to the beach. The price was very reasonable as well. Our room had a partial kitchen, with a separate living room area away from the two queen beds. I'll most likely be back again, the next time I'm in town.

The ease of getting to the beach was awesome. The staff were awesome. Dana was a doll when we checked in and was super nice. Didn’t find anything about the property not to like.

Our room at Residence Inn was very spacious and not typical for most hotels, especially in this price range. The bathroom had a large shower which is extremely helpful for those with mobility issues. The breakfast area was well stocked and offered a large variety. My husband and I were well pleased at the accommodations and would stay here again.

Now the not so good stuff The parking is convenient but if you need access to the side walk when using an hotel luggage buggy..you'll have walk a long way to find a slopped part of the sidewalk, other wise like us you'll have try to drag the buggy over the curb . Next on the parking subject. When you arrive,even if you've paid upfront, they'll ask for an additional $20 per night stay for 'incidentals' these turned to be $15 a day parking fee ( something I must have missed when booking?! Plus $5 a day for 'extras?? What ever they are!! That's why I give them 4 stars. I paid enough for the stay ..to charge for parking is a real liberty!!

We were there to take a cruise the next day. I called to see if I could get a noon check out, I was told no. Again that’s only 1 hour later. But no one cared. I can’t remember the other annoying thing, but I wasn’t happy. For the amount of money we spent, we should have gotten better service.
