Holiday Inn Resort: Galveston-On The Beach by IHG

Specific to our stay- coffee machine in the room was broken, door lock to the hall did not work, room appeared very clean but walking barefoot my feet were filthy within an hour. Also worth nothing, there is no a door separating the bedrooms in the family suite. It is more of a studio suite. The pool is extremely small. We expected the Holiday Inn would not be as high end as the San Luis, but we expected a lot more out of Tillman Fertitta property. We booked our stay at the last minute and trusted the reputation of his other properties to assure us this property would be acceptable. It was not what we were used to, for sure, and we won’t be back.

We had a great stay! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. The kids’ playroom was a wonderful bonus—safe, clean, and full of fun activities that kept the children entertained. It made our stay even more enjoyable. We would definitely come back!

I will definitely stay here again. Beautiful property for the price. Very clean and staff is amazing. Anything we needed (towels or wash cloths) we got immediately. The breakfast had a large selection but didn’t have a lot of flavor. One day was good for breakfast. Beds and pillows were comfortable and there is tons of activities ever hour for the kids. 10/10

My room was not very clean, and it had an unpleasant odor when we arrived. The refrigerator was extremely dirty, which was very disappointing. I chose not to complain because we had already paid a significant amount for the room, waited until 4:00 p.m. to check in, and didn’t want to spend more of our vacation arguing or waiting for another room or a refund. For the price we paid, I expected a much cleaner and better-maintained room. Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness did not meet my expectations. Because of this experience, I will not be staying here again or recommending this property to others.

It made our first time at the beach a great experience!

Our 3rd floor balcony room was great! View of the pool & ocean. Location was good. Need to work on parking spots, would benefit from numbered parking spaces -give at check in! Less aggravation when no spaces available to park but paid for out of pocket!! Seemed to have Good Security patrolling in the evening. Breakfast is Great! Pool,bar and plenty for little kids set up to do. Pool menu food was good! Drinks were good! Parking was hard to find in evenings,noone picked up trash towels ect in pool areas- alot of trash on the ground, outside pool/bar staff could have been a little friendlier and little better paced getting to and from( i went in three times looking for help ( noone ever saw the flags up on back of chair). Elevators are bad!!!! Wait wait wait and hope theres room to get on when door opens and closes in 2 sec. Always to full to get in.

It was right across from the beach. I think they need to invest In Some cameras in the parking lot.

It was a very nice stay. Pool was excellent and clean. Staff doesn’t speak english so well and very hard to communicate with. Paying for breakfast is not ideal.

la bienvenida fue espectacular mi familia y yo nos sentimos como en casa . las recepcionistas muy atentas y te dan muy buena explicación sobre la instalación tanto lo que incluye por tu hospedaje. la pasamos muy bien en general. habitantes limpias y desinfectados. los bartenders del bar muy buena atención . se los recomiendo

This was a very nice place

There were two things I didn’t like. I used my debit card to reserve my room. When I got there my debit card was charged an additional $200 for some fees that would be refunded if no damages were made. But then I was told that the credit back to my debt card could take up to ten days. That wasn’t cool at all. I didn’t like that my room was at the end of the hall, across from a door to the stairs. . It made me feel uncomfortable with my back turned trying to unlock my door every time I opened my door. I didn’t know if someone would appear from that door. I came in one night and one of male worker was too close to my door sweeping the hall that evening. I was already feeling paranoid about bring at the end of the hall right across from the stairs any way. He was polite and didn’t do anything wrong but it made feel a little eerie being a single women coming in. Other than that, everything was great. I would book again but I will use a credit card the next time and ask not to be put in the last room down the hall by the stairs.

Doors are located on the outside. Pictures are somewhat deceiving. Keisha at the front desk was absolutely wonderful but we needed up going to another hotel.

Location is great if you want to bevon the seawall with an ocean view and balcony.

The hotel was in a great location (directly across from the beach). The room was clean and there was a microwave and mini fridge. There were daily activities for the kiddos and there is a restaurant and bar on site. Check in was smoothie and the front desk staff was helpful and nice. There is a foot wash and an outdoor shower to use when you return from the beach. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Everything was great, the staff was amazing and super helpful and friendly! The hotel was clean and had very kid friendly. Enjoyed our stay!

Great place to stay.

I liked the location and the cleanliness of the facilities. I didn't like that there was a time limit on access to the facilities especially since check in is so late in the afternoon, I felt I paid 400 dollars for only a couple of hours of access plus there were extra fees to use the amenities and even extra fees for parking. I feel that it was a bit excessive to charge for each individual area plus the room fee.
