Moody Gardens Hotel, Spa and Convention Center

4th time staying here….gets worse every time. We won’t be back anytime soon. We had a 3 night stay. The first day we came back to beds made, fresh towels, trash taken and vacuumed. Same thing for the following night. The last night I requested new sheets….guess I should not have…because that IS ALL THEY DID! We didn’t get any towels or coffee pods (I had to go ask for them) they left dirty mugs and glasses and didn’t do anything else but change the sheets. The ice machine didn’t work for the first 2 days had to go to different floors for ice. The pool was very cloudy (it was the 4th of July though)…Food is very expensive!

El hotel está bastante bien respecto a calidad/precio. La piscina era muy bonita y toda esa área estaba muy limpia. A pesar de lo concurrido que estaba por ser 4 de julio. Fui con mi esposo y otra pareja. Éramos cuatro en una habitación doble, el espacio era suficiente y la vista de la habitación era un 10. La comida fue bastante buena y la atención del personal fue excelente. Aún así creo que deberían de ponerle un poco de atención a la sala de juegos que se encuentra en el lobby ya que estaba un poco descuidada y sucia. Pero por lo demás, todo estuvo bastante bien. Si volvería a ir en otra ocasión. La verdad la pasamos genial.

Great friendly staff clean and the amenities were awesome family friendly

The AAA 4 diamond marketing probably sets the expectations a little too high. It's a little dated, the rooms are small given almost everyone there has kids, and they nickel and dime you on the attractions all but forcing you to buy the value pass.

It has a decent restaurant with a very young staff. The hotel itself is quite dated and needs some constructive attention. Consider Moody Gardens for a an exciting weekend with the family!

Stayed 3 nights, and our room was only cleaned one time…even after requesting housekeeping service. Our soaps and shampoo were empty on arrival and never refilled. For $500 a night, the room was in need of updating. Very dark at night due to lack of lighting. Bathroom door had serious water damage. Very small tv for the room size. Just not what you would expect for the price.

Starting with the positives: this is a family-friendly hotel that did not feel overly crowded. The property is nice, comfortable, and worked well for a family trip. However, there are several limitations to consider. The indoor parking garage is very small, and a significant section is reserved for valet, making self-parking difficult at times. There is no dedicated concierge service, so if you need assistance, you must go to the main lobby and wait alongside guests checking in and out. This can be inconvenient and time-consuming, especially with children. Housekeeping and cleanup assistance are also limited after certain hours. If you have small children and need help with a spill or accident later in the day, you may be on your own until the next day. The hotel does not provide transportation to nearby attractions, so guests must walk, drive, or arrange their own transportation. The indoor pool is very small,essentially a lap pool. The outdoor pool is nicer and decent, although somewhat limited. We also tried a few restaurants; the food was okay overall, with reasonable prices for what was offered. Overall, this is a decent, family-friendly hotel, but the services and amenities are more limited than some travelers may expect. The key is setting the right expectations before book

Nice property. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to friends and family.

We called the front desk and they explicitly told us customers have the right to request for microwaves and they have the right to deny it. We went back-and-forth with management and they refused to give us a microwave. My wife is currently nursing and having an in room microwave would be very useful for us however management denied the request.

Hotel was good. Staff was very friendly. The amenities were great. What could be better is in several occasions we called for extra towels or help with something and after waiting 30mins to an hour we had to call again. When asking about something for our room service order, we asked about something specific and they said they would have room service call us they never did. These things or course are being very minor and only mentioning so things can be improved. The hotel was clean could use a little updating; the fitness room, billard room, along with the room. We loved the vibe of the resort being very family friendly. We will definitely be coming back in the future.
