Motel 6 Galveston, TX

I stayed a night before going on a cruise. I normally do not go to a motel because I like nicer amenities and enjoy breakfast. This place does not have breakfast and most places you have to drive to get to in Galveston. The prices are high in Galveston on the weekends during this time of year and this was the cheapest place. The main reason I stayed is because they offered free cruise parking for the duration of the time you are gone. That is a big benefit and I may come back again, in the future, because of this reason. Most hotels charge you to leave your vehicle there. As long as you stay one night you get the benefit. I liked the staff; however, I would come back to this place just for the free cruise parking benefit.

Worst hotel i ever stayed at. Shower was broke. Got locked out of my room as the card would not work, and the staff would not answer the door or the phone. So i couldn't get back in my room. Dump.

It was great for the price

Front desk was very accommodating and friendly. Rate needed some work but nothing terrible. It’s was clean and quiet. Stayed one night to catch cruise. Would stay again.

Very disappointed\. I paid extra for a room with a refrigerator and microwave, but the replacement room had neither\. It also had stains on the walls and a smoke detector hanging from the ceiling with exposed wires\. I was refused a refund for the price difference\.

The staff was friendly, but first thing we noticed is that they were behind a bulletproof glass to check in. When we got to check in/ our room was dirty, there was dried pee on the toilet seat. Stains in the sheets and some people were loitering outside the grounds. We thought we were staying by the seawall but ended up clear on the other side of Galveston.

We required a handicap accessible room, it was small and not very accessible. It had a queen sized bed that was high off the floor. There was a small 12" mirror in the bathroom mounted high on the wall. The sink vanity partially blocked access to the bathtub. It was fine for the one night we were there. I will say the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

We tried to get our money back and they refused. Said we needed to speak the manager. Tried 5 times the next day to contact her and she was either not in until 11, busy at the moment and then finally she just refused to call us back. Take caution the photos you see are not the the true pictures of the rooms conditons!

Clean and updated room with a refrigerator. A short drive to Seawall Drive and Target. The plugs on the nightstands and the WiFi didn’t work so it’s not ideal for a business traveler but it worked for me.

The stairs are scary. Broken. The room was noisy. The floor was dirty. We paid for a King room, but it had a Queen bed. No blow dryer. No iron. 1 tiny bar of soap. AC ran nonstop and it never got very cool. Overpriced for what you get. Splurge the extra $40 and stay at Holiday Inn next door.
