Great location! Price The smell on the hallway

Air conditioning is extremely loud, which otherwise would be terrible, but in this case it helped mitigate the construction racket. I believe this will be a really nice boutique hotel once the construction has completed. They are putting in a restaurant and a new lobby with a grand spiral staircase.

Smaller than we expected, but overall clean. Shower, bathroom, sink, dressers and cabinets worked. Bed was good, though it was a bit too soft for my liking. When I sat on the edge of the bed, it sunk a significant amount. But more of a personal preference rather than an actual problem. Towels and linens were replaced upon request. The 2 gripes that we have was the fact that the front desk was on the second floor. So checking in and checking out was a bit of extra work that was unexpected. We read about there not being an elevator but was confused because opening the door to check in, there is just a flight of stairs and a sign are the top of that set of stairs that says check in desk to the left up another set of stairs. Lastly the parking was offsite. Like the next block over. Not even adjacent to the building or the block. This was a bit inconvenient because besides the walk from the hotel, the lot seemed to belong to a city public parking. As in it was not a lot specifically built for the hotel. Which was odd. It felt that the parking was an afterthought. Other than that pretty standard hotel. Especially for the rate that we got it ($125/night)

Small place but great price for the area

Parking is something people often talk about with this hotel. They don’t have their own parking lot, but they do have an agreement with a private lot behind the hotel, so the cost is reasonable. It’s actually super easy to get to by walking out the back door of Porto’s. It’s a bit longer when Porto’s is closed. But it felt safe and I had no issues. I recommend using a spot in front for 15 minutes (costs $1) to unload luggage and check in. As far as the hotel, it is on the second and third floor of the building, and there are no elevators. So yes you’ll have to hand carry your luggage up the stairs. The one thing I’d recommend is that they get the entrance stairs a good deep cleaning. It’s the first impression when you walk in the front door and it’s dirty and smells a bit. That’s my only complaint. I would definitely stay here again, it’s a great value for the price.

Never again, they focus only in how to scam clients, they lie to you, hold deposits by judging customers as they are, and do not know how to distinguish people, and definitely, mistreated me, a 76 years old man.

Everything in the room was basic but good: bed, pillows, desk, hot water, shower head, towels, lighting, coffee, hangers. You have to be ready to walk up 2-3 floors and park 2.5 blocks away as others have noted. The only issue is when you first see the property from the street, the old street-level entrance conveys abandonment: dark glass, heavy duty realtor lock. But! To the right is the lighted canopy and stairway.

We enjoyed our one night in the junior suite w the bathtub. Parking was provided a block away by the hotel. Just wish there had been a fridge in the room. Otherwise it was quiet and clean.

The lobby and stairways were a bit beat and old but the room itself was great. Small but the bed was super comfortable, the room was clean and the AC was banging. The decor and furniture felt high end for the cost. I would definitely stay here again.

Loved the free water station in the lobby
